Glad you boys are enjoying some CO beer, sans the Fat Tire of course. C'mon Mick, you know better!
Mike, nice choice. Hades is a solid solid beer.
The bottle was in the beer fridge since DLD but for some reason I thought it looked unstable so I decided to re-situate it yesterday. Not 5 minutes later my little boy opened to fridge to get a bottle of water and the rest is history... :(
Hey Mick, kiss my ass!
I cut my lip as I drank the remaining nectar from the broken glass. Join me in mourning and pour out an ounce or two of your favorite ale for your homies and hold your loved ones a little closer tonight.
GABF 2009? Yeah, I might be in... :sign:
Yeah boy! Its going to be another awesome year. It would be nice to get a running list of those planning to attend so we can start planning events around the event.
In case you are on the fence, here is the tentative list for our sour tasting...
RR...
Make you a deal, Mike... You get your ass out here for GABF 2009 and I will promise to have DFH 120 on tap. In fact, we will HERF at my casa with the rest of the crew and see how much we can put away!
Currently there is no standardization for this. Some breweries put brewed on dates on the bottle neck or label, some put best buy dates, some don't put anything at all. It drives me nuts too and I have seen many threads complaining about it but no industry changes have been made to date.
Unfortunately I will not be able to make it after all. I have had too much on my plate and need some family time so weekend travel was out of the question. Have a great time guys!
I have to take issue with the Wendy's comment. The 1/4 double stack is arguably the best fast food burger on the market!
As far as OG is concerned, the wifey loves the salad and breadsticks so we end up grabbing lunch there once or twice a month.
They keg it in 1/6 bbl kegs (5.16 gal) kegs. My local beer guy knows I will need a new 5 gal keg soon and he has one. I politely declined, haha.
Not sure about the big kegs though.
The warmer weather and longer days have caused the humi lid to fly open much more often. Last night I enjoyed a gifted SCDLH El Principe which was an excellent little smoke. Planning to make this one a mainstay in the humidor.
Last night I had a bunch of Great Divide Titan IPA while watching the Nuggets game. To celebrate the last second win I cracked a Mirror Mirror which was excellent. I prefer English style barleywines and this was definitely along those lines. Very nice.
