I didn't see the scotch or I would have picked that up to.
One glass so far. Not bad. After reading a bit on the internet I was expecting the worst. Definitely solid for a $20 bottle. It may be made by Beam, but its not Beam or Beam Black. Its too strong to be Beam and a bit harsh and not quite...
I'm a long time Costco member and a huge fan of the Kirkland brand. When I lived in NY I could get the Kirkland branded beer, which was okay. Recently I learned (via CNBC) about Costco's roll in the wine world and I have been on a quest to get a hold of a bottle of Kirkland wine. However, living...
One important thing: make sure to use the actual Zippo fluid. The cheap stuff really does have a terrible smell to it that will come through in the taste.
Zippo, all the way, IMHO. The Old Boy has rave reviews. I can't comment because I have never tried one. More than anything my problem with that one is price - seems a little silly to light a $50 pipe with $90 lighter.
The biggest technical benefit to the Zippo is that the design allows for the...
The tins aren't bad, but the 8oz packages are selling for $40 and16oz packages of other Dan blends are selling about $50. I just bought a pound of Limerick a few weeks ago from smokingpipes for $36! As a reference point - 8oz of Penzance was selling at $32 and that seemed like highway robbery.
When I purchase from the website it prompts me to check a box if I am a NYS resident. Even though I don't check the box this is posted at the bottom of the page when I check out:

I bought a fake Cohiba single when I was in the Bahamas just for the heck of it. Smoked it on the beach, it wasn't half bad. I would have said it was well worth the $5 I paid for it, but now that I know I could have had 5 of them for twice the price, I think I may have been ripped off. :D
But of course, this way you guys can't tell me that I shouldn't smoke it. :)
I just tossed the nub. I thoroughly enjoyed every inch of it. It did have some burn issues, particularly around the area in question, but all in all it was a great cigar.
Can any of you better versed in the subject tell me what you think this might be? Its not fuzzy and its stuck on there good (I licked my finger and tried to rub it off but it stayed put), so I'm thinking it isn't mold. Its in an odd place to be plume, and the cigars are from 2011 so I would...
I thought about grabbing some more, but I already have several pounds of the stuff. Its comforting to see that FVF availability appears to be fairly cyclical. I'll probably stock up next time around.
My father traded in his 2001 Sierra 3500 dualie for a 2012. He loved the old one. The new one has all the bells and whistles, but it's not the old one, so he complains about it. To my eye, the fit and finish of the new one is light years ahead of the old GM trucks, but the MPG isn't quite as...
