My first angry editorial in our local newspaper!

I have always found it effective to reply to an article in the newspaper that was embarrassing to me by sending a letter to the editor that could be publicized and then signing my name at the bottom of it in case it gets published. I am sure that her daughter is now much less embarrassed now...

    Today's Smoke II

I have had a similar experience with the Obsidian. The burn wasn't great and draw was a little tight. I didn't particularly like the flavor profile very much anyway. To each his own though. Had a Monte Vintage 93 No. 10 last night with a few years age on it. Mild flavor with great volumes...

    Losing Humidity

I used some foam tape that I got from work and it works great! Let me now approximately what you think that your gap is and I should be able to snag you some. On my cabinet I used some small rare earth magnets that I bought here: Magnets Since you have a lock and key, I don't know that you...

    $50 to spend on cigars....

I have read some previous years reviews of the trick or treat special. Not to say that it is going to be a bad deal, but many people last year complained about not getting a vary good variety of stuff in their packages. Could be a great deal or it could end up being very disappointed. If I...

What beer did you drink today?

Yeah.. 120 Minute is pure hops! Delicious. If you hate that you would also hate other such beers such as Stone Ruination, so don't bother trying it! I had some Oberon from a little mini self tapping keg thingy and also had a Roscoe's Pale Ale. Picked up a sixer of the Roscoe's at Meijer...

    Free pipe tobacco from Altadis

So.. I originally put in for the free sample on the 19th of May of this year. On August 6th I got some Shisha in from Dreamcastle and thought they messed it up. Today, I just got my sample in of three blends: Blue Note, Cherry, and Fox & Hound. This package was also from Dream Castle in...

How does a beer go from Pale Ale to DIPA?

I am fairly positive you don't go from one to the other through aging. It is simply a different recipe than the standard pale ale. A DIPA is normally maltier and hoppier than a normal pale ale and normally have a higher ABV than your standard Pale Ale. Hope this info helps and somebody else...

    worried about beetles

When I double smoke 'em for situations like this, I like to pair a mild smoke with a more full bodied smoke. This works best when you actually puff on them at the same time, makes a nice smooth creamy flavor... Had one combination smoke as I call em one time, it was absolutely perfect! The...

    worried about beetles

Just make sure that you check out the package thoroughly to make sure there are no holes in the cigars or any dust in the packaging. IF you have any other cigars, I would try to be sure to quarantine the new cigars from the ones that you have. As you will find out with a bit of searching...

So I wanted to buy a shotgun...

That is one sweet looking shotgun. I find it interesting that on the Wiki some states consider it an assault weapon because of the clip. How many states do this (as I know that CA is proly one of the most liberal)?

    Guinness Draught

If you don't know if you have ever tasted hops, then you need to try a Pale Ale or an India Pale Ale. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale can be found pretty commonly and is a good introduction to a hoppier beer. Give it a go and see if you like it!

    Guinness Draught

Normally you won't find many of the craft beers people talk about in your local grocery store. You would need to go to a liquor store and even then, unless you go to a bigger one, they may not have much selection. I went to a BJ's when I was out in CA a few weeks back. Their brews were pretty...

Cigar is hard to stay lit. Hard draw.

Ace of Cakes huh?? I am currently using the computer AND watching the Biggest Loser with the wife. We had some applie pie while watching, not sure why but we always seem to eat some delicious snack foods while watching it! Threads aren't normally deleted, so this one with ramblings...

What are the effects of large stems/midribs in a cigar?

I would agree with this statement. Is there a certain brand or line of cigars that you are encountering this problem with. It could just be a problem with the roller that day and making a bad batch if they are all the same cigar??

    Guinness Draught

The device I believe is called a widget. It is printed on the can and you can even see info about it on wikipedia. Linky If you like Guinness you should try some other stouts. I am not a huge fan of Guinness, I get a coffee taste a little bit, but it almost tastes like burnt coffee to me...

After watching that video I think I am going to get rid of my hygrometers altogether. No sense in taking any chances. :sign:
