The receiver and barrel are Harrington & Richardson (HR). The bolt and trigger group are Springfield Armory (SA). I documented what all the individual pieces were a while back, but I would have to dig up that document. Those are the major pieces, though.
Hope nobody minds me bringing back an old topic, but I just found it and it happens to be one of my major interests.
I have a real sickness for old military rifles, particularly of the WWII-era.

Interesting. I've never actually thought about the specific, qualifiable characteristics of these terms. However, this is what typically comes to my mind when they are mentioned:
Strength: Nicotine content and... harshness? Perhaps 'harshness' isn't the right word. I (and I'm sure all of us)...
Yeah, no affiliation there. The D's are comprised of frontman Colin Meloy, Chris Funk, Jenny Conlee, Nate Query and John Moen. They'll pick up additional folks for touring purposes sometimes, too.
"Control" is an amazing album. David Bazan's solo EP "Fewer Moving Parts" is really good as well. It's 10 songs - the 1st 5 are fully produced and the 2nd 5 are just the 1st 5 totally acoustic.
I'm really excited about both shows. I'll be happy so long as The D's play "The Island."
