Interested in hearing some opinions on how these sticks fare? They're using the Churchill name and I've smoked a couple of them and have been completely blown away by them. Granted they had at least 3 years on them but.....I'm curious on how these shorties compared to they're big brother.
In the midst of smoking the red band Torpedo, VERY nice! My B&M who carries is a retailer for the brand just got both bands in today. I'm going back later this evening to try a few of the other sizes and grab a couple of the white banded ones.
I've smoked quite a few of the #9's. That's my fave of the brand. They're pretty decent fresh and much better with a year to 18 months on em. I always keep at least 4-5 bundles on hand. It's a reliable stick!
I've read where aged ISOM's can and do command a decent buck as long as they have at least 5 years on them and are of a Popular brand. IE: Monte 2,Partagas Lusi's and various Cohiba for example. Personally, I buy em to smoke! Only way I can age a cigar is if it's the last 2 of a box and I know I...
How are these price wise compared to the brown label? I know Pete has some high hopes for these and I have heard good things about them. Now I gotta head to my local B&M and see if he got his in stock!
The cigars I mentioned I have never had to relight, maybe just to correct a burn prob ,but not to relight it. Probably the only cigars I have had to relight are the Tatuje's when I get to the last 3rd.
And it's not like I'm stressed for time either,I go at it pretty much the same as LSUSEEGAR...
I read alot more then I post here,so 1 thing I tend to notice is folks saying how long a cigar lasts when they smoke them. What I seem to find is that the cigars I smoke tend to last at least 15-20 minutes longer then the times some say. For example, A P2 tends to last me about 2 hours and 15...
30+ years as a cigarette smoker,3+ packs a day, 2 heart attacks in 3 days. Stop smoking cigs and dreading the withdrawal, start smoking cigars. Nothing like setting aside a couple hours a day to kick back, smoke a few "choice" cigars, sip some diet ice tea and relax! Even my Cardiologist approved!
You made out better then a fat rat in a cheese factory! Kudo's to whomever bombed you! I'd be estatic with just getting the Epi #1 or one of the Short Churchills! But you've hit the motherload!
Very well done review. I'm not a big fan of the Pirhana (or the Gol for that matter), give the Ipanema a try. IMHO it's the best in the entire line and the only one I'll buy now. Plus these age very well. I have a box that is 4 years old and the tastes is amazing!
Upmann PC is VERY good, but it needs a couple years age.
Same holds true for the PLPC, but these are VERY hard to find. They sell out FAST!
The El Principe is an OUTSTANDING smoke,is right in the price range your looking for and only needs 8 months of age to be a killer smoke!
