This a great size for a regular smoke and they're typically priced right. It seems I seldom have time for 1+ hour smoke but these little babies are just right most the time...plus I think they age/mature quicked than big cigars so are more approachable young.
Since I'm kinda set for lighters I haven't paid any attention to whats out there these days...I have a Porsche lighter which is great but only holds enough fuel to light a handful of cigars, simply impractical...then I have 3 Colibri's 1 of which is great, 1 is ok and the other is just plain...
The Boli PC can be a head-spinner for non-smokers. I'd get a box of Cohiba Siglo II...a name everyone can appreciate, not too strong nor bland, not crazy expensive and not too big...also Trinidad Colinials would be good too, though not that well known.
Thanks for the replies. I don't think it's an age issue at all. This is not a matter of taste or draw, they simply won't smoke and haven't improved at all with 2 yrs on them. I know they're not prime time at 2 yrs, but I've smoked many, many young cubans and had no such problems. Oh well lotsa...
Just pitched my last Mag 46 from a box date code May 05. These cigars had serious burn issues. I'd say atleast 2/3rds of the box the cigars would not stay lit. There was not a draw problem with any of them, they just wouldn't stay lit. You'd suck hard on them to keep them lit but that would...
Can't get over the price on the Trinidads. So 50 cigars is the limit per person, but is there a dollar limit? I thought I read somewhere $450 cdn is the duty-free allowance.
I've had a plugged one as well. Don't judge all cubans by this cigar since it is produced in huge quantities and at several factories, the consistancy is just not there. I'd have trouble grabbing a box of these for that reason. I have had some really great monte 2's as well but I only pick out...
I have a box from Apr 05. They bacame very smokable after about the 1 year mark. I haven't enjoyed many young Cubans but this one has yet to dissapoint. This is my favourite cigar, though I've yet to smoke one with some years on it.
Well, after all the helpful advice, we ended up drinking red wine with the opus  . I did bring a few bottles of scotch along but the red was pairing up nicely and we never got to the scotch..next time.
The best: Trinidad Fundadores with old band, can't recall the year.
The worst: It was a Sancho Panzo, roughly a lonsdale, can't recall the actual size.
Everyday: Bolivar PC...just lovin this one.
Dream: virually any well aged premium isom from: Cohiba, Monte, Partagas, Trinidad, HDM etc
