I had a chance to get this back the end of December, but held off because of financial obligations. Anyone in the Tucson area know if there is any still floating around? I checked out a few places I seen it back in December, but they are all out.
Thanks,
Jamie
Depends on what i am drinking...non-mixed drinks generally on ice is enough to float the ice. I drink a lot of rum though straight, on the rocks or mixed so it varies quite a bit.
Yes, especially with altitude. Even with all the training, some people's bodies just won't adapt to the altitude regardless of acclimatizing. That is my main worry. People have been known to get acute mountain sickness at Everest base camp which is at around 17,500 feet.
No snow south of Tucson, though I seen a few flakes mixed in with the rain. Yesterday it was in the low 50s and it felt COLD. Strange how a few years can change you. Back home in northern Wisconsin, it wasn't unusual to have a day in the low 50s in the middle of the summer.

You might want to check out The Ministry of Rum wbsite/forum. There are many Canadians on the site that might be able to help you out or point you in the right direction.
I've heard a lot about the Goose Island beers on here and other sites. Living in the Tucson area, I'm yet to see any of these. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with Goose Island being a Chicago area brewery so little if any gets this far west. For those out there familiar with the Rare...
Didn't make any, however, my mom always makes a ton and then sends them off to us kids that can't make it home for Christmas.
This year it's:
cream wafers
peanut butter cookies
2 types of sugar cookies
chocolate oatmeal
raisin
chocolate covered cherry
krumkake (norwegian waffle cookie)...
Upper 70s to low 80s starting tomorrow in to mid week, then low 70s. Low 20s to high teens back in northern Wisconsin where the family is. Sure is nice not having to turn the heat on, though I do miss the white Christmas.
No, definitely not a true comparison. There are many smaller cognac houses out there that are great; Tesseron and Maison Surrenne being a couple examples. In my opinion, these smaller cognac houses can, and many times do, produce better quality cognacs. Also look in to Germain-Robin brandies...
