Eh, it happens....
I've actually started leaning towards the smaller sticks because of this. I've consciously stayed away from the Churchill's for this fact as well. Been wanting to try the Montecristo Platinum Churchill but I may have to settle for something a bit shorter, in the mean time...
Thanks for the tips. I guess an hour of smoking a cigar is about my limit. So, maybe I'll try the dry boxing as well to dry them out and burn a little quicker. As it sits the only stick I'm getting down in under an hour are the Padron 2000's, which take about 45 minutes.
The No Smoking PERIOD, makes it sound like it's illegal to light up in the city at all, anywhere.
We've had that same law in effect in San Diego on the beaches for as longer than I've lived here and more recently (last few years maybe) in the parks. It's pretty inconvinient for sure.
I've been wondering why the last couple cigars I've smoked have had a bitter, unpleasant taste to them. Perhaps it was just the cigars I selected, or possibly the humidity level. So, I did a bit of research and wondered if maybe I should start keeping my sticks at 65% instead of the 70% they're...
Not sure why you don't think you'll be able to love life because of a birthday.
You can't prevent aging so don't try to, just enjoy it :)
For a smoke, get something you know you like, maybe at the top of your budget.
Following a 'light' dinner of pork ribs, baked potato and Caesar salad I decided on this stick for desert.
I got a couple of these from a coworker a few weeks ago and have been wanting to try one out. The light brown wrapper doesn't exactly jump out to me as being anything exotic or special...
Oh, I gotch ;)
A coworker of mine recommended to me Acid Cigars for the females. He says they're not too nice if you're into the traditional cigars but the ladies seem to like them because they come in fancy flavors.
Just another idea for you
So I have a box of Toro's on order (was Perfectos, but I got a call stating they actually had both). This is bringing back some sentimental feelings for me, as this is the cigar we used to smoke back in the Marines, in 1998. So, I thought I'd give it a shot to bring back some memories. (I know...
What's wrong with her smoking something she likes while you smoke something you like? Or are you referring to both sharing the same stick?
I haven't had the CAO flavors but a couple of the others they make are pretty flavorful (MX2 comes to mind), you should also give those a try as well...
Well this was an odd one.
Finally smoked one.
Started out extremely pleasant, lot's of flavor, sweet, full of body, nice smoke. About half way through it just ran out....the flavor was gone, lifeless. The only noticeable taste was a slight bitterness. Not sure what happened but it was like two...
Nothing excessive, just long enough to get what I need. sometimes I don't even touch it for a few days.
I think I figured out what was going on. I added too many cigars in too short of time. I had a couple mail order boxes and some dryer sticks I picked up from a local place. I think they were...
Yes, I apologize for any confusion caused by not clarifying originally. I didn't know about the bomb rule but like I stated, this wasn't a bomb. It was a "Please pick these up and here's some money" type thing.
I look forward to trying these cigars in a couple of weeks after they have some time...
I have a headband flashlight that I keep in my center console. The thing is worth it's weight in gold. Hands free light comes in handy on many occasions
Ed (Pugman1943) was one of the first CP'ers to welcome me when I joined the site last month.
He was gracious enough to offer to pick me up some smokes on a recent trip he took to Bonita Smoke Shop. Not knowing enough about what I like/don't like and still trying cigars out I asked him to get me...
I guess I'm late to the party. I've been wanting to try some cigars by A. Turrent as I've read them mentioned several times on this forum now. I have that covered though as another member here graciously picked me up a couple on a trip he went on.
So, hopefully I can post up a 'real' review...
Nothing. I haven't had a stick all week. I had planned on stopping by the LCS and picking up a Montecristo Platinum Churchill but, I didn't....Plus, it's pouring outside anyway. Maybe if the weather improves I'll pick one up for tomorrow or Monday.
