Some say it will ruin your humidor but I wiped mine down with distilled water using a sponge. It worked well for me. I tried the crystal stuff...didn't work so well. I'd stick with the heartfelt beads.http://heartfeltindustries.com/default.asp

Well I got in a package today. It was wrapped in a plastic bag. I figured that was just because of the rain. Upon closer inspection I discovered some....damages to the box. Lucky, because of good packing, the contents were undamaged. But remember!

They are, from my experience, very inaccurate.

The way I understand it you only charge 70-80% of the beads so the others can absorb humidity to bring it down to whatever % beads you have. I use 70% beads myself and a Xikar hydrometer.

I suppose if you could find a larger cooler that yours could fit in you could sit it in the larger one and surround it in ice. It sounds like a pain but imo it's worth it. I guess it would just be easier just to put a bag of ice in your cooler but I'm trying to avoid condensing your humidity. My...
