2 more things:
1) The green + white republic of cuba sticker looks to be too bright white and green, it should look dull kinda like a US cash..this could be the digital cam though.
2) At foot of the cigar, the long filler looks really loose for a boli.
I'm no expert here, but my feeling is you have fakes, for the following reasons:
1) The cap looks wrong. That's how the cap on every fake cuban I've held looks like.
2) On the band, under the word "habana" the colouring looks wrong..this my be due to the digital cam, but it looks different...
I've only tried a couple of these, they were about 6 months old at the time and not enjoyable at all, very harsh taste. Now all the other partagas that I've tried had a couple yrs on them and were terrific, so I attribute my bad experience to the sick period..can never find psd4 with any age on em.
When I fist started smoking cigars, I preferred NC's for the milder and smoother taste...I found the cubans to be bitter and harsh. Then I had a siglo vi that was great, then I found out about sick periods. Then I found out the box codes of the cubans which I did not enjoy, sure enough, they...
My bro just arrived in Chinatown (and will be staying awhile), with no wheels. Any good cigar shops you could recommend that are within walking or cab-ride distance? He'd be looking for Fuentes and Padrons..thanks, JP.
I would guess that he goes to many forums to ask those questions, requiring 10 page long threads answering his ever so complex queries..but then he starts a new thread as he couldn't find the answer he was looking for...must have been a neglected red-headed step-child or something.
Thanks for all the responses. I shall wait til this June to try another and see how they are coming along. Even if they're smokable by then, I'll make sure to leave some to age for atleast 2 yrs.
I have a bunch of young CoRo's and am getting anxious to smoke em. Had a couple a few months back and definately weren't ready. I've had some siglo vi that were only a year old and were excellent, so I'm hoping these are ready for May 06. Anyone know when these come out of their sick period?
