I was gifted one of these by a neighbor two months ago and I immediately took it out of its aluminum tube and let it rest with my other smokes in the humi.
I needed a smoke to go with the two fingers of Ron Zacapa I just poured waiting for the start of the ND Air Force game today so I looked in...
Wow, this is sad. I got screwed out of a couple of hundred for some fake Bolie's but your misfortune triples my loss. I saw the price in my local BM for this and I couldn't believe it. I'll bet the box smelled great. (sorry)
I did however buy the 12 year old 2 barrel version that I'm enjoying...
Nice post and review John. I echo your statement above exactly except the buzz is what keeps me away from this brand. Great flavors but I can't deal with that buzz. I'm a light weight I know.
I agree with all of you.
And for the record I didn't "write this one off". If I ever get one I'll defiantly smoke it. Based on this review and others I've read I feel my wants are better placed else ware for now.
Connie #16 maduro, I'm amazed at how much I like this stick. I've had 3 so far and they were all great. They are seconds so I guess it's hit and miss but so far so good.
Oh come on now, Chuck. Why spoil my fun. ;)
Wilkey
Whoo Hoo! And they're off!
No one wants to spoil your fun Wilkey. We don't want to scare the guy off CP just yet ... at least not for this. :whistling: ;)
I just have visions of Wilkey standing naked on top of his *special*...

Soooo... If it is maple what is the down side? Will it impart an undesirable taste? I'd think if you can store them in a plastic box that maple would be ok to.
I know that now.
I didn't say I *knowingly* paid $100 more than I needed to. All of my learning came after this purchase. Cravat emptor huh? :)
Yeah, me too now. :)
In November of last year I wanted to replenish my humi and started on a web search for a vendor. I found http://www.casademalahato.com/ and placed an order for BOLIVAR Coronas 5.5 x 42 for $285. The owner of the business, Steve called me after I placed the order and said he would send his end...
Oh come on, you forgot that I sent you those? They aren't real Wilkey, you said so yourself. :)
I notice the difference between Habanos and all others I've been in contact with. I also do as you describe and when I get to Añejo, Opus and others the sent while not bad is not nearly that of the...
