One more thought... although it was probably a typo, it is PADRON. ;)
Not sure how much response will be had here but the bottom line is that you just can't go wrong with any Padron. Some are more special than others, however, what a brand to pick from and explore! Have fun doing just this...
Wife and kids just left for the week on a trip to visit family up north, so the brew and cigars are offically on! Thanks to PJ (the comic), I have some FANTASTIC smokes to enjoy during this time. I found a very generous selection of smokes at my doorstep this afternoon. A BIG thanks my man...
I have a box of Imperials (maduro) that I tend to favor. However, the classic line ain't too shabby either, and it will help ya' keep more in your wallet. I keep an ample supply of 2000 and 3000's in my humi. I had an executive last weekend, which is a very good stick, particularly for times...
Yeah, I just had a 4.5 x 50 Camacho Triple Maduro the other night (my second that I've tried at this size) and although I still enjoyed the smoke, I definitely prefer the 11/18. Same follows for the Anejo line that I also had earlier in the week - I would take a #50 over a #48 or #49...
I've decided to go with a different type of dispenser/wine preserver. The reviews seem to be solid and while it's not nearly as elegant as the Vinotemp, it's a heck of a lot cheaper (roughly a hundred bucks). After I pick it up and have an opportunity to put it to the test, I'll report back...
Yes, they actually have several other varieties although I have not had the desire or motivation to try them but who knows, they could float your boat. They have the red table wine that i suggested along with a white, chardonnay, rose, and a moscato. I'll have to pick up a bottle of the moscato...
Might want to try a bottle of Menage a Trois (referred to as a table wine). I wouldn't characterize it as sweet, but fairly good at it's price point... about 8-9 bucks depending on where you look. My wife doesn't like red wines but likes this bottle; one of the few red wines that she will...
Appreciate the info. I know this sucker is expensive, but I love the idea of being able to keep 4 bottles on hand and fresh for weeks - not that it would take me that long to finish them. :)
This kind of system would help me justify spending more occasionally on a REAL good bottle of wine...
This is not my area of expertise, but I believe it could still work just not ideal because you will have larger swings in humidity... I think. You would have to do something about the temperature as well, but as I remember from looking into this a long time ago, there is a way around it by...
Sounds good, Eric, perhaps later this week.
This evening I had intentions of only grabbing some dinner and a couple of cocktails but my feet had other thoughts. Since I was already on Wabash, by feet kept me going and I ended up at Iwan Ries. Talk about being under dressed. :) I showed up in...
Thanks for the suggestions
Thanks for the suggestions! So far, I haven't had an opportunity to get out much but that will end soon. I'm taking off early this afternoon to explore a bit. I'm thinking about possibly grabbing a cigar at Iwan Ries. After checking it out online, it seems very...
Haven't been to Chicago in years, especially at this time of the year, which for a Floridian... burrrrr. At any rate, I will be there for a conference next week and even with the cold weather in my sight, I'm looking forward to the trip. In any event, since I will have some time in the...
Matty, I don't have any strong opinion one way or the other; however, if your intent is to simply "find out what all the new cool cigars were", why not just read the board without posting? It's one thing to be a contributing member (in good standing) that actively participates on the board and...
Just got back from a great day at the beach... perfect weather! Now off to a nice dinner and I have an Opus X A waiting for me when I return. Very good birthday that I expect will only get better.
I appreciate it. I'm taking the day off and heading to the beach in a bit with my wife and kids (and of course, a tasty cigar yet to be determined). :)
I'm enjoying a Camacho Triple Maduro this evening and would say that this qualifies as a cigar that I really enjoy. It's not all that complex, fairly straight forward, although one that I can count on every time I pull it from my humi. It's also a great cigar to enjoy after spicy or full...
Never been a big fan of the AF Short Story because... it is usually too "short" of a smoke. However, this evening I got home early from work and had about 30-40 minutes to myself before my kids and wife came home so I pulled one out of the humi. I really enjoyed it as it hit the spot. :)
