A postcard from Orlando - postmarked 31 January. This arrived in my mailbox today, 14 March. I've been waiting three weeks for small piece parts - sent USPS. I'm paying my CC online now, because USPS cannot seem to get 1st class letter mail to them in under three weeks. Even bills are late.

Local grapes, local barrels. It takes about 400 pounds of grapes - and up to 100 pounds of sugar (plus 15-ish gallons of water) for a 50 gallon barrel. Ya get a bunch of guys together to share work and to share the cost - and then divide it up. Some of the containers for the finished wine...

I don't know if I've ever smoked a true 5-rated stick. The closest thing to that was a Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour. Honorable mention goes to recent La Bomba Warhead X and Montecristo Espada.... and a few CC's. Do I need to readjust my scale ? What your "5" ?

The thought here is to replace all the rotten lumber, make it water tight, add heat - and maybe put in a small bar. It'll make a great cigar lounge for winter. The wife is too short to reach up high, so I put her in the bucket. 🤣😂😅 And then there was a nice smoke.

Missouri sales tax for online purchases is 4.225%, and that's been the norm until yesterday, when Cigar Page added 7.8% sales tax, instead. Of course, I called and asked, and they said that they didn't know - but that they would get back to me. Must be very recent because I ordered from Cigar...

I was on the working end of a weed eater, and getting into a brushy area - when this guy runs out, and right up onto the road. Unlucky for him, there was a car. It made the most unusual sound. Exploding roadkill will do that, I guess.

The smaller stuff is going to the wood stove, and the larger stuff will be sold. Oh, and a bonfire. And marsmallows. :-)

These sticks were on super-sale in June '23. One of them had a beetle hole, and so they got sequestered in a large ziplock bag, with a 69% Boveda bag. That bag went into the cabinet above the refrigerator. Still. No hygrometer. No checking up on them. They have all smoked like this. Every...

I'm sitting at the sliding door to the deck, opened just enough. It was frozen shut this morning, but a hair dryer fixed that little issue. Big cup of coffee.
