    Esplendidos Real or Fake?

In regards to the bands, they just look like they are cut short on the top - I'll take a look at another sample and compare - $30 through a mid-level source or two is reasonable (although a non-American should be able to import them for about $17ea). . .

    Esplendidos Real or Fake?

Shooting from the hip based soley on your pictures. . .they really don't look like they are the right ring gauge. The look a skosh skinny. I'd also say the band doesn't look like it received too much love. So, based on pictures and the "a friend can get 'em" source, I'm going to say fake at a...

Traveling In The US With Cubans

Take 'em however you want - bands off or bands on - heck, leave them in their original box. Absolute and super xtreme worse case is TSA keeps them (and only because you had an extremely unlucky draw of agents who would most likely be fired if you complained hard enough). Super most likely they...

    Favorite Minuto & Perla?

I'll get this over with. Unquestionably, the absolute best is the Sig I. Unmistakable and nothing like a II thru VI. More like a baby Robusto. My all-time favorite of all shapes a sizes. My "on an island the rest of my life" cigar. In other words, they're decent.

    Christmas Cigars

Very true and applicable to just about anything one would buy and decide to dispose of - really no risk in any choice the OP makes.

    Christmas Cigars

Just down the street from you. . . IMO, you really can start anywhere you'd like - pick the cigars with the coolest band or box or tube and start there. Look for 5-packs and buy as many different ones as you can. I've never tossed one, regardless of the marca (I've tossed plenty of NCs), so I...

    Are these real?

I gotta lean towards "real" based on the pictures. There just isn't anything obviously wrong with it. If the OP would like to send me one, I'll send a for-sure real Sig II in the cardboard box in return and give it the taste test. True, the triple-cap is missing, but it may not be as I think...

    Vick takes a deal

Ya'll have pretty much summed it up -- but I will add this: The dogs win in the price tag it'll cost Vick. Millions of dollars - seriously, millions and millions of dollars. Vick, in essence, paid millions of dollars for the "rush" or whatever it was that fulfilled him from fighting dogs. I...

    Esplendido or Siglo 6

    Your Favorite Coronas Gordas

There are two on the list I haven't tried. Of those I have, the Rafael Gonzalez is the hands down winner for me - It's light and flavorful and goes great as a AM smoke with a cup of java. The rest simply aren't very good for some reason, which is disappointing as it's my favorite size. . .

    Cuban chewing tobacco?

Would anyone be so kinda as to LMK where a Canadian friend of mine can buy these products online? Muchos Gracias!

    Cohiba 40th Anniversary barberpoles?

The deal killer is the serial number of the warranty seal. The two starting letters closely correlate to the box date. The freshest stock I have is JUL05 and the two letter code is HDXXXXX. Conversely, the oldest I have (with the new seal) is JUN00 and the two letter code is AKXXXXX. So, a...

Best humi in the $500 hundred range?

I simply opened up the black plastic humidifer and replaced the foam with a pantyhose sack of beads. A more elegant solution is this: Aluminum Humidifier which fits perfectly. . .but either solution keeps everything nicely packaged

Best humi in the $500 hundred range?

I have a DM Treasure Chest. Not only is it a craftsman's work of art, it's function is absolute phenomenal. About 8 months ago I removed the foam from the humidifier and replaced it with 65% beads - since then I've recharged the beads ONE TIME. I have China made humidors that I have to...

    Found MRN for $85

I ordered the book a couple of weeks ago. $144.31 was taken from my checking account for the book shipped via airmail (and poorly packed, I might add). . .

    super rare

I would actually consider buying a box of pre-embargo (like the H Upmann Jar). . .but only if I had first-hand knowledge of proper storage. . .and that ain't ever gonna happen. . .
