My ISOMs seem a bit off recently. They seem a little "wet", perhaps too much humidity, resulting in uneven burn and sometimes they don't stay lit. I'm keeping them in a coolerdor at around 70 degrees/65%. I've tried a few from different boxes and they seemed to have the same issue. I've narrowed...

I've generally enjoyed HDM #2s. Smooth and tastes of honey. Very solid.

These sound like a great smoke and worth a try.

Had a similar experience with low quantity of smoke produced and a metallic type taste. Not worth the $s. Numerous other good sticks at that price. I do like the 1992 however.

Definitely some food helps or some sugar beforehand. Those 601 Black labels are good.

I'd say most maduro smokes go well with coffee. Coffee tends to have a somewhat bitter, earthy strong taste. A light tasting smoke might get overwhelmed by coffee actually. Check out Padron 000 series (like 2000, 3000 etc.). Others to try are CAO Brazilia and RP '92.

Have a bunch of Pepin Black Perlas resting. Tried a few, but they need more age IMHO.

You mean where to get PG? All the online vendors sell the stuff. I'd say go buy it from there or you can do as Wilkey did and buy from Sigma, which is more of a B2B type vendor.
