The Zaya I had must have been a different year. It was sharp/bitter and not nearly as sweet/smooth as Zacapa. Another good one is Pyrat X0.

I have tried this bourbon also. My wife got it from her "liquor guy" (distributor that sells "off-brand" booze). It was good, but for the same price, or a couple bucks more, I would rather buy Eagle Rare 10 or Bullit. BTW, I've read where bourbon less than 90 proof is basically not worth...

DON'T rely too much (or at all) on hygrometers. If you know your cigars are too dry, refill your humidifing devices more often. It does sound like you have a bad seal either with the glass or the lid of the humidor.

Yes, a flint lighter will release fuel when opened. Otherwise there wouldn't be anything there to catch on fire when sparked.

No, you don't have to use the brand-specific fuel. Any triple-refined fuel will work just as well, such as Lava or Vector. I've used these in my Xtend for a couple years and have had no problems. Just remember to bleed the lighter before refilling and you'll be fine.

Remember, you are talking about a cigar from Fuente, the masters of hype.
