I heard that they are going to be something like $1700.00 for a box of 15. A single for $125.00? That's a 25-ct box of petit coronas or a 10-ct box of Lusitanias. If the Grand Reserva turned out to be the best cigar you would ever smoke, would they be worth $125.00 a piece?

In reference to your first post, do sample other cigars. It's my impression though that the Partagas flavors are unique. The only cigar that tastes like a Partagas is another Partagas.

It's my impression that everyone thinks that the o8s are great, some people –that I respect– rave about them. I have a box of USE JUN or JULY o8. I have smoked one, sort of reminds me of a good Mag 50, not what I was expecting. I hope they get better with some nap time. -P

The bulk of the Upmann line seems to have gained a lot of momentum in the last two years. The quality of the cigars; SW's, Connie's, 46's, 50's, #2's, the band redesigns and the double-banding has me thinking HSA cares about this Marque. I would like to think that these 48s are part of HSAs...

That doesn't sound like a SW does it. Weird. Could it be a storage issue? I have never heard of a bad box of these. For what it's worth; years ago people were saying that Upmann didn't make any SWs in 2002, now in the last two years we have 2002s showing up. Send what's left back, and get some...

The SW will probably require some down time, most people put them down for several years. A lot of people are going on-and-on about how great the '03s are right now. Both the 07s and '08s are by all accounts going to be great... These are generally regarded as one of the best large format cigars...

Dave, You might want to do some research on the '01 Monarcas. Some of the boxes have a bit of a reputation for plugs.
