    What to buy ?

Congrates on your winnings. Safe bets would be Upmanns from '08, any Partagas SDC and 898s, La Gloria Cubana MDO's from '02(box code OSU(Partagas factory)), Cohiba Robustos, Bolivar Corona Extras and CG. Also, the Trinidad Robusto "T" sounds great but I haven't had any of them yet. -P

    Deletions List Fight-back

I guess if you're squimish about mailing out a letter like this you could always send it out without your return address. Unless you think they could trace it back to you through the post-mark. :)

    Deletions List Fight-back

There is a fight-back campaign going on right now in protest of the current deletions list. The list as you might know consist primarily of small-ring cigars and the letters below are specific to these smokes. Please feel free to use all or any part of the letters below, or just write one of...

    Sad News: scheduled for cancellation

Ok guys, this is accurate information, but it's indexed with the standard packaging codes. Nineteen cigars are on the list for deletion. This includes the complete elimination of the Partagas SdC #1, #2 and #3 – Punch RS #11 and #12 – Diplomatico #4, #5 – LGC #1, #3 – Rey del Mundo GdE – Saint...

    Bolivar Petit Corona, Montecristo #4

I started with Bolivars and have never looked back. Try the Coronas Extra, very similar in flavor and strength to the PC. Lots of people like the Belicosos Finos. If you like Bolivars chances are you will also like the Partagas line-up. Like the Bolivars; they have pronounced flavors...

    Cohiba Grand Reserva

I heard that they are going to be something like $1700.00 for a box of 15. A single for $125.00? That's a 25-ct box of petit coronas or a 10-ct box of Lusitanias. If the Grand Reserva turned out to be the best cigar you would ever smoke, would they be worth $125.00 a piece?

In reference to your first post, do sample other cigars. It's my impression though that the Partagas flavors are unique. The only cigar that tastes like a Partagas is another Partagas.

    H Upmann Mag 46

It's my impression that everyone thinks that the o8s are great, some people –that I respect– rave about them. I have a box of USE JUN or JULY o8. I have smoked one, sort of reminds me of a good Mag 50, not what I was expecting. I hope they get better with some nap time. -P

    H Upmann Mag 48

The bulk of the Upmann line seems to have gained a lot of momentum in the last two years. The quality of the cigars; SW's, Connie's, 46's, 50's, #2's, the band redesigns and the double-banding has me thinking HSA cares about this Marque. I would like to think that these 48s are part of HSAs...

    Sir winston 02

That doesn't sound like a SW does it. Weird. Could it be a storage issue? I have never heard of a bad box of these. For what it's worth; years ago people were saying that Upmann didn't make any SWs in 2002, now in the last two years we have 2002s showing up. Send what's left back, and get some...

    H. Upmann Sir Winston vs. Monarcas

The SW will probably require some down time, most people put them down for several years. A lot of people are going on-and-on about how great the '03s are right now. Both the 07s and '08s are by all accounts going to be great... These are generally regarded as one of the best large format cigars...

    H. Upmann Sir Winston vs. Monarcas

Dave, You might want to do some research on the '01 Monarcas. Some of the boxes have a bit of a reputation for plugs.

    Luci's

Hello Everybody, Second post here. I have a simple question with regards to the Partagas Lusitania. Have any of you had some recent production –08– that have dark and oily wrappers with a medium to strong body that you believe have tremendous aging potential? I need to jump on these if they are...
