2006 Cigar Drafts Alpha and Bravo

This draft was probably a lot simpler logistically than WAR. I can't even imagine the organization and tracking that that must have demanded. For me WAR is still the standard against which organized mayhem is to be measured. The draft was a great idea but it sure wasn't my invention. Satchmo proposed it and I just picked it up and ran with it. I am glad that it went as well as it did. My penchant for over-organization probably helped to keep things from getting out of control.

You bring up a good point. The drafts had stretches where things went still and stretches where the action was happening so fast I was struggling to update the first post. Next time, I'd suggest we decide up front if we wanted a fully live and real-time draft or one that is allowed to span a day or two.

Wilkey, you have done a masterful job of moderating this draft. I look forward to meeting you on Wednesday.

I also look forward to participating on either the Charlie or Delta drafts. :)
