A new hobby

Have gotten into collecting fountain pens. This started out small, and is quickly mushrooming into a monster!! Anyone else into this?

I've decided that modern fountain pens are the new jewelry for men. They are absolutely beautiful!! And there's something neat about writing with something that's 50 or more years old, thinking about all the other hands it has passed thru and what it may have been used for.

There is a guy in my weekly herf group that collects them...I thought it was a rather "Swishy" (not Swissy) thing to do...but then he showed me his pens and they are cool as all get up

Hmmm... "A Swissy thing to do..." has a ring to it, don't you think? My luck is it would be associated with doing somthing dumb/stupid/dangerous/destructive... not that I ever do anything like that!

As for fountain pens, can't say I've ever laid eyes on a real one, let alone collect them. Me, i'm into WWII aviation memoribilia (My WWII aviation site)

I'll keep my eyes peeled for pens tho...
