What do you guys think of these cigars? I just placed a bid on cigar bid for a 5 pack. I then did a little reading about them and they are reminicent of cloves. THats fine for me but I guess not for the humidor. Do you think it would be okay to have them in my humi for a couple weeks? There is no other cigars in it right now as I am just now starting to try and fill it up. I thought I would just keep them there and smoke them until there gone before adding any other cigars. I do have a small desktop humi but I don't have a hydrometer or humidifier.

Also what do you all think of cigarbid.com as a place for purchasing cigars. I see that you almost always get a price that is lower then msrp, but does quality suffer?

And one more thing. If I win the Acid's i bid on I plan on buying a box of cubans. I have tried a couple in the past, I can't remember them all but I know the montecristo no.2 and the fuente fuerte were what I really liked the most. Could someone recommend me a box of cubans that doesn't break the bank? I was thinking something from punch perhaps. I saw a deal for a box of coronations from Punch for less than 150.

Thanks in advance for all of the help. You guys always seem to have an answer for something I want to know about.

Search is your friend when it comes to your question about Acid. It should also cover the question regarding putting Acid cigars in your humidor.

I'd never buy Acid, let alone store it in the humidor that I keep my other cigars in. Have you ever smelled an Acid before? Absolutely horrible! :(

IF you are going to smoke these "cigars" ask for a separate bag and a water pillow to store them on the opposite side of the house away from your other cigars.

For God's Sake NOOOOO!!!!! Don't do it!!! Like was mentioned, get another bag and water pillow then bury them in the back yard, sprinkle some Lime around it, and never go back out there again!

I have an Acid Blondie left over from my Dark Period. It's been sitting in a tin box under my desk for the last three years without any humidification. I think it'll be okay, though. Those cigars are like McDonalds french fries. They never really decompose.

You guys are too hard on Acid cigars! I have used a couple for car air fresheners for years.

Definitely keep the ACID's separate from everything else. Hit me up if you're interested in the line and have questions, as I've probably got more ACID's than the rest of the board combined.

THERE! I said it and I don't care what anybody else thinks...

I think they smell like a stripper. I suppose that's handy if you're short on cash and you want to hit up the club. Just light one and leave it in the ashtray, pop a luke-warm beer, turn on some techno or funk, and imagine. But that's about all I can come up with.

I thought most people here liked acid cigars. If I could i would cancel m y bid but I can't. What is a water pillow?

You have gotten a pretty good representation on the general opinion of Acid here and a water pillow is small RH maintenance pillow to keep your cigars at the proper RH for a short period.

First off, what gave you the impression that most people here like Acids? Secondly, who gives a rip what other people like and why would that affect whether you purchase anything? Try a lot of cigars and then smoke what you like. If it turns out you love Acids, then by God smoke the hell out of them and enjoy yourself.

I didn't buy the acids beacuause people here liked them, I bought them because they were a good price and I figured I could get through 5 petite coronas even if I didn't love them. It wasn't until after I bid that I found out about all the aromatics, cloves and having to keep them separate from other cigars. I actually won the bid but for eleven dollars I am not too concerened. I am going to pick up a water pillow and keep them in a plastic bag. I can probably have them all smoked in a week's time anyways. I'll let you know what I think.

The Blondies aren't bad as far as the Acid line goes. I started my interest in cigars by smoking Acids. I liked them a lot, and graduated up to more premium natural cigars, and now I can't really smoke them anymore. I would rather spend my time smoking something really nice. But, no one here can tell you what kind of cigars you like. Enjoy them, and welcome to the world of cigars! Try some of the other Acids, see what you like. Also try some regular cigars, see how it goes from there.

With me, it all started with an Acid Kuba Kuba. Now Im lighting Fuentes. Its all about what you like and what you can handle. Smoke whatever taste good to you. Who cares what other people think, you like what you like. Smoke em if youve got em! And have fun, its all downhill from here!
