Sorry for the outburst guys. The slow realization is creeping in. I will be getting married in about a month!! We went down yesterday to fill out our Marriage License..... The last and final excuse didn't work. "But honey, what about the marriage penalty tax??" She didn't buy it. LOL

Welcome to the club... I got my marriage license last week... will be all over in 10 days or so! :)

Lucky you! :D Little over a month for me although the tell tale signs are everywhere that it indeed, is getting closer. She is at her surprise bridal shower as I write this. Monday we pick up the actual license and well, the rest is pretty much cruise control....

Congratulations to all the newly weds. I'll be celebrating my 1 year anniversary on May 14. I'm taking the wife to Cabo for a week!

Just wanted to add my "congrats" - April 21st 1977 - 29 years - heck I've be married for over half my life now

Ron

Actuall congrats to you for 29 years! Not something easily accomplished. Way to go.

By the way, like your humidor project  Looks like it's coming along nicely! One day I may try a project like that, but I don't even have my 100 ct filled up, haven't done the coolidor thing to fill it up. So it will be awhile.

Any of the other soon to be newlyweds getting really freakin nervous? Not about being married, mind you, but about the wedding?

Not yet and I stress the word yet. For the most part we have everything done and just on cruise control. Of course, we took a different path. We are treating it like one big party with a little bit of tradition mixed in.

Itinerary:
Party
Wedding ceremony
Party
Eat
Party some more

We also took a different path by getting married in a state 4,950 miles away. Both sets of parents and her brother were with us. I got to golf the day before. The most stressful part of the wedding was carrying her dress on the plane. The following day after the wedding, we switched islands for our honeymoon in this undisclosed mystery state. When we got back we had a not so traditional reception that was one big party.

I like parties....seems less stressful and formal than "receptions".

Yeah, I had a big party at the alst wedding. 20 mintue outdoor ceremony followed by an excessive amount of drinking.
THis wedding is much more formal (black tie, in the temple...the whole bit). I think that's why I'm nervous. I'm not really a fancy guy, and my fiance isn't really a fancy lady. She has just always wanted a big fancy wedding, though...the whole fairy tale thing, born of being the only daughter (two brothers) and the youngest, as far as I can tell.

Drinking will follow our party from beginning to end. Although I am under very strict orders to stay somewhat sober. Hey, since she is willing to play along and have a pic of us with cigars, I can abide by that.

Since this is#2 for both of us, we both did formal, etc. This time, we wanted to try something different.

BUT, don't be surprised as my date draws near, there is a reply post of me starting to freak out a little.
