Alec Bradley Tempus....what a fantastic cigar!

I'm looking forward to hearing more about these cigars. I haven't smoked Alec Bradley since the original three-sided Trilogies. Maybe this is a chance to see how his work is developing.

Brian, I'm not sure if you have any of these available still...but I would love to do a write up on this cigar. I just recently had my eyes opened up to Alec Bradley through his Maxx line, so this is a wonderful opportunity to try out one of his new line. If I'm late, no worries brother. Thank you very much for the offer!

I was looking at the MAXX line but then I read so many negative reviews at Famous, I backed off from ordering a box.

Any comments on them?

Dan,

I really enjoyed the samples that I have had (the Robusto - fixx?) They are a very complex cigar that really ranges from mild flavors in the beginning to pretty heavy leather flavors in the end. I felt like these were 5er worthy, so I picked up 2 5ers on Cigarbid for $13 or $15 each (I forgot which). While I wouldn't call these box worthy...without a doubt, worthy of a $15 test run.

Just my .02 though.
FYI- some of my favorite cigars include CAO MX2, Brazilia, Italia, DPG Black, JJ, Oliva MB3s, AVO 2's. So basically I really smoke a diverse selection of cigars.

Hope this helps you

I loved the three sided Cameroon Classics, but wasn't too impressed with all the other AB cigars I have tried. Nice to hear that they are releasing good cigars.

I bought two lanceros this weekend and finished both. Very tasty. Flavor changes and you smoke down. More complex than an LFD lancero in flavor, but good even burn, lotta blue/grey smoke.

Started off with a back of the tongue tangy tobacco flavor then mellowed to a medium bodied woody smoke. Maybe a hint of bitter chocolate midway through the latter end with a leather finish. I will be buying more of these.

I have tried several AB's including the Sun Grown in the past and was not impressed, but I think this one, at least in its initial offerings, may live up to some of the hype.

For my taste reference, I enjoy DJP, especially lanceros, LFD lanceros, Aroma de Cubana, Savinelli ELR and Ligo Especial, Illusione M7, AF especially Hemingways, an 601's (won a free box at a B&M event). I do not enjoy RP, Perdomo, or Nubs. Oliva is dependant on the variety. Usually a torp or lancero shape

I picked up a few of the Harvest select from Alec Bradley. I'm not sure, but I think they could benefit from some aging, I was picking up some harsh tastes. I bought a box and gave away 3 of them amongst my friends (they were about 1.50 because of CI's daily deal), and we each had separate comments on the flavor profile. I felt they got better as the stick progressed, IMO, a bit harsh, rather perfumery and sweet. I'd be interested in trying other Alec Bradley lines to see how much they differ... I'll wait to read some of the reviews to see if I should or not!

The only AB cigars I've tried were the Trilogy (with a few diff wrappers), and I was pretty turned off. Nice to hear there's something new in the mix with some positive press. Looking forward to more review (this is actually the 2nd good one I've heard about this particular cigar).

Let me know if you need another reviewer for your cause.

Cheers...
