I am in no way endorsing this product, but it's out there if anyone wants to try it out.

I've never seen nor heard of this until today. I have no connection with it or the company selling it. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case someone was looking for something a little different.
 
I just looked it over as well, had the link sent to me in an email. If I had the money I would try it out, but as usual, I am broke as a joke, and that ain't funny

Ok - the question I have is...how will you read the display..or do you just wait for an alarm?
Is the unit suppose to sit near the front?

I have the Habitat Monitor...control unit neat the door - reservoir and fan in the back...power supply outside.

Works like a charm.
 
This new active humidification device certainly has potential. They seem to improve upon the solid characteristics of the CO. What I like most of all about this are the extra ports for fans (with the CO, you have just one fan that is unidirectional; from what I can make out of this, there are bidirectional fans with an extra connector (?) for another fan. Is this an add on that is just a fan and not a humidification device? That does seem a bit vague.

The only other thing I have to question is the statement of a HygroSet technology to allow it to be adjusted. By adjusted do they mean calibration if the RH% is off? or do they mean "if your humidity is too low/high, adjust using the HygroSet technology.

Looks nice, though.

I read that to mean that there is a trim potentiometer that allows the reading offset to be adjusted. So for example you'd salt test it and if it read 73%, you'd turn the pot until it read 75%.

Seems to me that in a device of this type where the humidifier and the sensor are in close proximity, a rapid measurement cycle would not be entirely desirable. In other words, since humidity may be changing dramatically in the vicinity of the sensor, you wouldn't want the device to try and make adjustments on a short time basis otherwise the control would tend to be a bit more active (up and down and to the extremes) than one might want. The ability to hook up extra, remote fans is a nice feature and might make control smoother. Seems like they'd be both powered and controlled by the main unit though so power consumption might be an issue the more fans you hook up.
