Wow. I got a call from a friend who works at one of my B&M's. He said he just got a box of Anejo Sharks and a box of #46's. He said he saved me some Sharks.

I got to the B&M and my Sharks were waiting for me all bagged up.

Upon leaving the store and getting in my car I took one of the Sharks out of the packaging. The wrapper was dark and oily, Oscuro to be more exact. I then removed the read ribbon from the head and clipped the foot. I then completed a test draw. It proved to be wide open. Following the test draw I fired that baby up and headed home. Lots of smoke. This cigar was smoother and milder than the 2006's I remembered smoking. It had hints of cedar, coffee and I tasted some fruit. The smoke was crisp and smooth. Nosing the smoke, I noticed hints of coffee and cocoa. The burn was flawless, there was no need for touch ups at all. What a pleasent smoke right out of the box.

Mmmmmmmm... Hopin' to pick a couple of these up this year for sure!

A simple review that got my mouth watering. Thanks!

They sound delicious. Do you have that address to you B&M...I am up for a road trip!

Remember to keep an eye out for the mold. I had one that sat for less than a month... It developed mold on the wrapper and foot :(

You guys must have some freaking nutty B&M's. Can't find Anejo or Opus X and most of them time even VSG anywhere close to where I live. Closest thing would be a Padron for over 20 a stick.

No worries, I might snag a few #46's if there are any left next eek and put them up for sale for what I paid. My B&M often has OPUS TOO. So I'll grab some for all you Opus whores if he has them.

Ohhh man i looked in the humi as i read this and realize i only have one 77 left from o5. It may just have to go anyways Ill find more.

Here is a question for you more experienced in the holiday Fuente goodies.... What is the status regarding smoking Anejo/Opus young? I would imagine that by the time they reach the B&M's they have been traveling a bit. A good friend of mine says that smoking them with any less than 6 months in your humi is wasting them.

Just curious...

I just picked up my yearly box of sharks today. Earlier this year I ended up throwing out 2 of my 06's due to mold, while cursing and telling myself i'll never buy another box. I am a weak man.

Picked up a fiver at my local. The predraw was so good I turned around and bought the rest of the box of 49's.

My local, who is normally pretty good at selling near MSRP, told me $19.50 for each Shark.....................Hell NO!

$19.50 Holy @#$#! I found out today when I went back to the B&M where I got the sharks, the owner (who was not there yesterday) raised the price of the #46's from $9.50-$11.00. My buddy Rich put them out at $9.50 and the owner changed the price. I still bought the rest of the box. Good thing I bought my sharks yesterday!! I also picked up a half a dozen OPus X Fuente Fuente. They were $11.60 a stick. I smoked one on the way home. I think they need a nap. :D

Interesting that you brought this up. The couple that did this in my humi were both from the same source (albeit different times) so i assumed it was the humidity/temp at the place i got them. A great smoke nevertheless.

Anyone else notice a higher inclination toward molding with this particular vitola?
