That's it, I've had it with the Dolphins. Ricky Williams retiring. Are you F@#$ing kidding me. What an offseason. It started with Dan Marino is the VP, oh no wait, no he isn't. Had a bunch of crap happen in between. And now this fricken guy decides he doesn't want to play football anymore. Hey buddy, thanks for the advanced notice. Hell a couple of days earlier we could have at least made a run at Eddie George. Now we're just screwed!

Therefore, I hereby declare myself a NFL Fan Free Agent. All teams interested in acquiring my services please contact me.

Feel free to join a loyal group of fans for another Florida Team

Why in the hell would he retire??? He's a dumbass!!!!

Well if I did Detroit or San Diego no one would accuse me of jumping on the band wagon. Might not be a bad idea.

I wish I had become a Pats fan in college when I had a chance. Maybe I'll be a Texans fan. no band wagon jumping there either.

Best Sports town in the US. Bills, Sabres, and the #1 drawing AAA baseball team, the Bisons. All from a place with a population of under 300K.

Yeah but look where they're at - even paid so "LOW" (as if any friggin football player doesn't get paid much) they can still live better than most other teams. It's like retiring to Thailand on a middle income retirement - you'll be a king.

oh they get paid good but ud be surprised, no one on the offencive line makes more than 200k a year, which is allot dont get me wrong but compaired to baseball, basketball, and most other teams in the nfl, waaayy under paid, but thats cuz there a public stock. besides who wants to live in thiland, the only thing they got is 14 year old prostatutes and every one lookin to kill u for u money :sign:

"The league minimum salary for a rookie—$230,000 in 2004—also comes into play here. A team can pay a rookie no less than the league minimum, and no more than its rookie pool allotment less the minimum salary times the remaining number of unsigned rookies. "

But his $380,000 salary for 2004 on a one-year deal, the league minimum for a player with two seasons of experience, is hardly commensurate with the contributions Russell made in his first season as a starter.

two quotes from ESPN.

Personally, I feel anyone that wants to live in Thailand is insane or just a native of the country. But, the comparison holds. On very little pay, you can live like a king in Thailand. On the league minimum, you can live much better Wisconsin that in New York. Don't kid yourself, these guys aren't hurting for money, kick-backs or freebies (unless they squander it away - in which case, it's their own fault.)

And yes, they get paid less than the superstars in the BB's, but they only play 16 times regular season. Sure it's physical, but 16 games of regular season football is not necessarily much harder on the body than a full season of basket ball. Sure, it can be depending on your position, but it's not a given that it will be.

Ric you might as well become a Jets fan now....At least you'll be able to see one game a year......and it's usually a win :D
