Best Sports town in the US. Bills, Sabres, and the #1 drawing AAA baseball team, the Bisons. All from a place with a population of under 300K.

If that's the case all championship teams would come from MN.

I think your original idea of becoming a Texans fan is the best. I am a Texans fan, they should restore your faith in football, they're solid, building, and they are in Texas, the football capital of the world. :) :)

Neb get's em outta here, OK pulls em outta here, even those weenies down in Fl recruit from here. BTW, if you've never read "Friday Night Lights" (1988, H. J. "Buzz" Bissinger) it's coming to film 10/04. I'm sure that once again, the book is better. :)

Good point, Texas is the football recruiting mecca. Another great book, but bad movie, is "The Junction Boys", about the famed Coach Bear Bryant, and his days at Texas A&M. "Friday Night Lights" is not a book to be missed, it's pretty amazing especially for people who don't know what small town Texas football is like.

You gotta come over to the enemy Ricardo! How cool would that be? We're talking one of the great rivalries in sports here. Imagine yourself twice a year screaming "squish the fish, squish the fish!" :D

bah born a packer fan will die a packer fan, they got there ups, they got there downs but there rlly in it for the game, one of the lowest paid teams in the nfl and they are always considered compotition :D
Yeah but look where they're at - even paid so "LOW" (as if any friggin football player doesn't get paid much) they can still live better than most other teams. It's like retiring to Thailand on a middle income retirement - you'll be a king.
oh they get paid good but ud be surprised, no one on the offencive line makes more than 200k a year, which is allot dont get me wrong but compaired to baseball, basketball, and most other teams in the nfl, waaayy under paid, but thats cuz there a public stock. besides who wants to live in thiland, the only thing they got is 14 year old prostatutes and every one lookin to kill u for u money :sign:
Ok, Im trying to figure out what you all are talking about.. the Packers payroll is right up there with ANY team. The NFL has true revenue ballance, so even small Green Bay can compete. The TV Revenue is split even, and the Pack sells out every game (their game gate totals are in the top 3rd of the NFL).

As for the Pack linemen making only 200K, thats nuts, the league minimum is more than that. If memory serves me, Tausher signed for like 6 mil over 5 years?

If anything, G.B. has an advantage being owned by the fans (though its an error to call the Packers a public stock, because shares have zero dollar value, cant be sold or traded). But, not having an owner who requires a return on his money, all profits go into a savings account (or to upgrade the BEST football stadium in the NFL!!!!)

Ricky Williams always seemed a bit weird to me. And you guys gave up 2 first round pickes for him? My condolences.

You are more than welcome to become a Packer Backer. It is probably the only NFL team where you can actually buy stock in the team.

Up here in the Great White North we play real football. Its called the CFL and the Toronto Argos are the team to cheer for. Although, being from another country, there is a foreign members tax (payable in cigars).

Thank you for your interest in the Argos.

:D :D :D

A 55 yard line ???

CFL is way too confusing for me :0
Yeah,

12 guys on the field, only 3 downs, and that ridiculous yo-yo motion............way too much to palate.

Next thing you know they'll be playing football in hocky arenas :0 :p

PS Do yourselves a favor.........Read 'Friday Night Lights' BEFORE you see the movie. Nothing sets the tone like the beginning of that book. The visualization of walking hand-in-hand with the other co-captains into a stadium of 30,000 screaming Texas FB fans...........

Biggest crowd I ever played in front of was 3,000.........and that was for a semifinal playoff game. Imagine 25,000 - 30,000 for every game of the year.......in High School..........

Texas Football......................there's nothing else like it.

The Chargers always need more fans and we true fans get lonely.

MISERY LOVES COMPANY.

:D
Do they even play "football" in San Diego? :D :p

I know san diego claims to have a team... the lightning boltz or something like that, but I've never actually seen a team from san diego ever play a profession nfl caliber football game.... ;) :D

The signing deadline is comming up fast! Just like players, teams need the fans to be in cheering shape when the season starts. So we, The Storied Green Bay Packers, owners of 12 League Championships, invite you to become an offical Packer Backer, and come to training camp before you miss too many practices.

We will throw in a free tour of Legendary LAMBEAU FIELD (said in deep baratone voice of John Facenda).
