Can't wait....yeah right! I work in a hospital so today they gave the greenlight for the hurricane teams. I belong to the first team, which stays inside the hospital for 24 hrs straight.....How fun!!! Anyway pray for us down here that nothing happens!

Hope it turns away, you guys have had enough.
My thoughts are with you.

Hurricanes won't be bad this year since they haven't finished rebuilding all the trailor parks yet. :p

Im here begining my long shift, lets see how things turn up. I brought a small AF Don Carlos, hopefully it will slow down here, in the hospital, tonight to give me a chance to smoke it outside. That is if the winds alow me to....

Hurricane? Last I checked Ernesto was still a petite tropical storm.

Now if you want a real storm, check out Typhoon loke about to hit Wake Island. Super typhoon and it's expected to create a storm surge that'll go clear over the island and destroy "anything that isn't concrete".

Ernesto's probably going to make some Cubans sea sick at best.

COOL! you guys dodged the bullet. Now if the rain does'nt soak you too bad, you can really break out the supremos. GOOD LUCK! ;)

Good news indeed and continued good luck for the Hurricane Season.

Being from Utah, that is something we do not experience. However, we took what was supposed to be a 5 day romantic trip to Cancun last October. This ended up being 15 days of pure hell stranded in a makeshift shelter etc. This was during hurricane Wilma which as some you may remember was the strongest ever measured in the Atlantic. This freaking storm sat on top of us for 36 hours straight varying between cat 4 and 5. I did not think I would get home alive. Fortunately, I had some fake Cohibas to help me to pass the time!

Could they have hyped it up anymore? It's barley raining here.

They have a dilema, don't report properly and warn everyone just in case and they get slammed for not being "prepared". On the other hand even the hint of "extreme" weather seems to sell buig in the USA, as a northeasterner born and raised, I am always amazed at the coverage and reactions to snowstorms here. Even 3-4", which used to be just an average winter day growing up, now causes mass hysteria as peopel clean out the grocery stores as if they were going to be buried under an avalanche. Hype sells and the media makes a fortune getting everyone worked up...ohh well... :(
