When is one not a n00b, when is one a FOG, and is there a transition acronym?

It's all relative. In other words, those with more experience on the board and/or with cigars appear to be a FOG to me. Those with less, appear to be noobs. I've also found that those most deserving of the label of FOG are also the lease likely to acknowledge it.

I think "a Member" is between Noob and FOG.

The next obvious question is where that dividing line is... And I don't want to touch that one with a 10-foot pole.

It’s simple really if you get it your no longer a newb and now a member. You can’t self proclaim a fog. It’s like being cool; someone else has to proclaim that for you.

It's all subjective. I still consider myself a newb in regards to the older(longer membership/more knowledge) guys of the board.

May gray and then June gloom is on it's way to San Diego. The fog is incessant this time of year.
