Any good B&Ms worth looking at in Downtown DC?

The Wifey and I will be heading out to Detroit (Sterling Heights to be more precise) on the 24th, leaving to Washington DC and staying downtown near Dupont Circle from 26th to the 28th, then back in D-Town for a Redwings game on the 29th and coming back home on the 30th.

That being said, I always like to check out B&Ms wherever I'm at, and maybe dump some money on a few sticks for giggles. Anyone have any recommendations?

I recommend you skip the trip to D.C. and come to KC instead. The BBQ in D.C. is no where near the quality you can get at Jack Stack.

Other than that I recommend if you are in D-town you look up our boy Bill Baker for a get together.

I've never been, but I deal with them by phone. Service is always excellent when I buy. LMK if it all works out. If I can clear my schedule, I might be able to make the trip to see you if you have time for a smoke.

Definitely recommend W. Curtis Drapers and Shelly's back room as well. They are only a few blocks from "Metro Station" or "Federal Triangle" metro stops.

Draper's is definitely worth visiting. Pretty good selection, they occasionally have some HTFs for sale if you ask and they'll let you stay and smoke a while. Not sure what your cigar tastes are, but there's also a big JR Cigar store a few blocks away (L and 17th). I've found some Opus in there on occasion.

Okay, I made a decision and booked for two nights stay at the Omni Shore Hotel on Calvert Street. Talked to some local POs and got their take, and looks like this is one of the safest bets, plus the price was a steal at a special holiday price they still had going.

Drapers and Shallys are only about 2 and a half miles away, and we'll have a car, so I'm pretty excited. John, I look forward to seeing you and any other CPasser I may run into while out there! John, I'll be PMing you my phone number. Just don't give it to Burtch, he'll sign me up for some sex line or something like that.

Just met up with (tpc) at the Cigar Factory outlet here in Sterling Heights, MI. What a GREAT place, great atmosphere, awesome hospitable staff, and AMAZING pricing! Also met Tony (tpc), and we had a good time!

Going to meet John tomorrow in DC, I'm pretty excited.
