I'm looking for something that I can maybe find easily tomorrow at a Barnes & Noble or something like that. I figure I'll be doing some reading and relaxing next week, so I'd try to find something to expand my cigar knowledge. I've already got and read Shanken's book World of Cigars, at least I think that is what it was called.

Thanks for the help!

And yes, I used the search function, however I'd like to see if there are any new answers out there since there's a bunch of new members. And when I bumped an old thread looking for some info on HC rum, I didn't actually get any answers to my bump. Just some discussion about Ron Zacapa rum instead.

Hi, Gonz! Look for "Cigar Companion" by Marvin R. Shanken. I hope that you are able to find some good cigar books that you will really like. Regards, knightlaird

I don't remember the name of the book (I'll try to look next time I stop in), but at one of my local shops they have an illustrated guide to Cuban cigars that actually has the Barnes & Noble logo on it, as if it were published by B&N. Probably something the owner picked up on the bargain rack, but I'll look and see if I can get the title.

For just overall information (no pretty pictures) the Perelman's Pocket Cyclopedia are pretty good. Even small enough to carry to the B&M with you, and updated every year.
Widely available on the web.

The first cigar book I bought was called "The Amazing Cigar". It's a fun book to read. It primarily focus's on cigar tricks. Some are pretty cool. It's worth the $15 if you want to "have fun with your cigar". ;)

"The Connoisseur's Book of the Cigar" by Zino Davidoff is pretty outdated for new smokers looking for info but a great book for the cigar book collector. I've picked up several on E-bay for next to nothing.
