The Titus Pullo of CP
Hello all,
Over the last year-and-a-half, I have become a fan of the single serve coffee brewing systems. I have owned & used the Melitta One:One Pod Brewer; and the Juan Valdez pod brewer. The two systems are very similar systems, however, I prefer the Juan Valdez over the Melitta because it is a bit more accepting of various pods and comes with a larger water reservoir. All in all a good cup of coffee or tea from either machine.
I tried coffee at a store demo from the Phillips Senseo and did not like it, too weak for me. However, the Senseo units are very popular, just not my cup of coffee, so to each their own.
What I'd consider the "next generation" of these single serve systems has begun to hit the store shelves, and I am intrigued by the Braun Tassimo which was released in the US in September, and earlier in Europe.
I realize that none of these systems provides the cheapest cup of coffee. (about $145 for the brewer and about $.35 to $.50 a cup) It is more for convenience and variety. That, and I'm a bit of a bleeding edge technology gadget collector. The coffee/tea/cappuccino/espresso discs are a currently a bit limited compared to others systems, however, in the past as the systems become a bit more popular, the variety of discs/pods generally become cheaper and more varied.
So I was just curious if any one here has any experience with the Tassimo?
TIA
