I have considered joining the YMCA to get some exercise but I think a Wii Fit might be a better choice. Unfortunetly, I know absolutely nothing about gaming systems, Wii's, etc.

Do you have one and would you recommend it?

What do you like and dislike about the Wii Fit?

They seem to be sold out everywhere but eBay and are bringing prettu good money.

Never tried the Wii Fit yet, but want it.

I have the Wii sports package, and it's a lot of fun. Something that definitely gets you off the couch, and into the game. The boxing alone works your ass off for example.

The Wii itself has a lot of neat features itself, such as being able to put a memory card inside and play a slide show.
Local, and world news/weather among other things.

We love our Wii Fit. It provides a decent workout, too. We also bought Shaun White snowboarding that uses the Wii Fit board. I never expected that after playing a video game, I'd be sore and out of breath. I recommend it to anyone (but I wouldn't pay more than MSRP).

The whole idea of having to stand up and move around to play video games is amazing. Not to mention that the young-uns and you old-uns can enjoy the Wii just as much as I do. My mom loves bowling and tennis; Tiger Woods Golf is always my go-to!

If you are over 300 lbs it will not lit you use it. My girl loves it. Also I work right next to the nintendo store and they are always in stock.

I absolutely love the Wii fit. The wife and I use it every day justa bout. I also am tired after doing a trounament of tiger woods 09 on it. :) We also bought the Wii ski (seems to suck ass), and the Shaun White snowboarding (fun). Also got this little party games with horseshoes, bean bag toss, etc etc, and that is a blast as well! I highly recommend the Wii and Wii fit. :) On the other hand I feel like I need another platform for when I really DON'T want to get off teh couch. Playstation 3 is the one I will most likely get just because of the addition of the blue ray player.

I have been watching a few on eBay. Consoles with Wii fit and they seem to be averaging $430. Retail is about $340 but the eBay deals usually contain a few more games and and additional controller and numchuk.

This appears to be a premium, expecially considering I have no interest in the other games.

The local Walmart gets Wii's in on Tuesday morning and sells out on Tuesday morning. Probably where the eBay inventory is coming from, LOL.

edited because i suck at typing and proofreading.

We bought a used Wii system at GameStop right after Christmas, and lucked up and found a Wii Fit on Walmart.com a couple weeks later. We had to buy it bundled with the Wii Fit accessory pack, but the accessory pack came with the rechargeable battery pack and jelly sleeve that I would have bought anyway. The Wii Fit provides a good workout and as some fun games as well. I'm the Wii Fit ski jumping champion of the world. Recognize.

I am also looking into getting a Wii console with the Wii Fit Bundle. Is the retail for a console and the Wii Fit = $340?

I saw an ebay deal for $550 or so and it came with a console, Wii Fit+ 2 remotes+ 2 nunchucks and 5 sports games, 9 play games, 40 fit games+free shipping. Is this a good deal?

I am also on the lookout for this bundle but I will not pay fleabay prices!

So what you are saying, is that what I am seeing on ebay is to high?
That package shouldn't be any more than $450 + shipping. If you hunt high and low, you can find Wii's and Wii Fits at MSRP. Usually it'll be the local Wal-mart, ToysRUs, Sears, Gamestop, etc...

**edit to add: ToysRUs has Wii bundles for $299. If you don't want the game that comes with it, sell it on ebay. Then the console shouldn't be much more than $250.
