Ashton Aged Maduro Petite Corona?

The VSG and the Maduro are very different cigars. The Maduro is much more mellow. The 10 used to be one of my favorites, but as of late it just doesnt do much for me. However, if they did introduce a PC I would buy a few to give them a shot.

Never tried the Ashton Aged Maduro's.
How does it compare to the VSG's?
Totally different beasts. The VSG's are much fuller, more distinct and richer pure tobacco flavor. Especially if you're talking about the smaller ring frontmarks like the Tres Mystique and the Illusion.

Wilkey

They are in fact very different, but the Aged Maddie is also one of my favorites. It's more mellow, but loaded with good flavor.

I'd be happy to see some new vitolas in that area.

I had a half-typed reply to this thread that I never finished that also used the phrase "totally different beasts."

I think that says a lot about the similarities of the lines, at least with my very limited experience with the Aged Maduros (I've smoked 1 #20) Both lines are very full-flavored and "upfront." Bold if you will. However I found the #20 to have a much heavier, or maybe "darker" flavor profile. It was also remarkably sweet with out being "sugary."

The Aged Maduros taste like a Don Carlos blend to me, something about they way he is able to layer the flavors in a stick...

Ashton aged maduros are no better than a Montesino maduro IMO... and the montesinos are 1/3rd the price.

I heard rumblings that Ashton was going to expand the Aged Maduro line with a PC size and a Belicoso.

Anyone know anything?

Um, I highly doubt this considering that they already have a "Pyramid" (a 6x52 belicoso) and the #20 (5 1/2x44). They might rename them, but I imagine it'd end there...
