Ashtrays - Whatcha got ?

I've been searching for a "cigar" ashtray for a month or so, and was surprised at the prices. You know, because (in my younger days) they used to give them away. There seems to be no shortage of cigarette ashtrays out there on eBay, but the cigar ashtray selection seems scarce.

I got some walnut together and laid out plans to make one - and then, in this past week, I was gifted two "suitable" ashtrays.

So, the question is - what's everyone else using ?

Retired my custom made wood ashtray purchased from someone on CP years ago. Found this pewter(?) piece at a thrift store for $15.00 and it has made a great replacement.

I have these in use, plus a bunch are still in boxes that I got from vendors or at events.

I mainly use the one in the first picture the others are for when friends come over. The Cigar in the second opus ashtray is a hand painted wood opus gifted to me by a Cigar family member years ago.

I’m bummed I missed out on this, very jealous when I saw it.

I have one that I “won” during a pass. A handcrafted wood one from a guy here that I don’t think is on the forums anymore. It’s my fav. I don’t use it as much but it’s by far my favorite.

Thrift shop purchases. I’ve had a couple of large, name brand advertising type, but the cheap durable ones are more to my liking.

In addition to the ashtray stand I posted in the accessories forum I’ve accumulated a few others over the years. The gargoyle was purchased at a news shop in New Hampshire along with my first real humidor in 1996. The black one was a gift from my wife even before that, and is machined out of a single piece of slate. The brass eagle I found in a nautical thrift shop for $2 and then there’s a random clear glass one that a friend didn’t want.
