Asolutely amazing

Nice! And I'd be tearing that house apart board by board. Check the crawlspace too. And the well. Under every fencepost, and corner marker. An eccentric like that might put anything anywhere!

that is pretty wild stuff there. i know of someone who went out to a farm in ohio and found a pristine boeing stearman (biplane trainer for the army air corps pre and WWII vintage) all it needed was an engine overhall, and some outer skin work and cleaning and recert from the FAA. amazing what lurks on these old properties out in the middle of nowhere.

Now that's a cool almost unbelievable story, thanks for sharing.

Hi, NullSmurf! Thank you very much for sharing this great story with us! Similar things like this actually happen fairly frequently. There are a lot of wealthy eccentric people out there. Many of them do not trust banks, so they hide their wealth in the walls of their home, bury it, etc. for "safekeeping". Years ago, an elderly lady known to the locals as "Ashcan Annie" passed away in Austin, Texas. An investigation of her modest home was done, and over one million dollars was found in cash, stocks, bonds, etc. within the walls of her humble abode. Yes, these people are rich, but they prefer to live like paupers. I suppose that they believe if they appear to be wealthy, someone might ask them for money! They may be right! Thanks again, NullSmurf. Regards, knightlaird
