I agree it's sad that a few thugs have tried to take advantage of such a bad situation for personal gain. Hopefully the troops can restore some justice down there.

Lord have mercy. With all the looting, I think it's hurting the chances for aide and contributions from the public.

However, I guess that's what they need to do to survive...as they walk out with a flat screen tv. All the need now is some electricity.

Sadly, a few are taking advantage of the situation ie: shooting at people, raping women, car jacking. Then again......a few should be strung up by their collective nads as well.

I love the 'we need to loot to survive' - beer, tv's, lawnmowers... yup, real life sustaining items they're carrying out. And they are claiming they have the right to since they saw some police officers getting a couple of cans of beans and other food for eating right then and there.

They need to take out a couple of the worst offenders in each block so EVERYONE knows they better behave... that way word will get around, even without power.

Human kind at it's best... sheesh... :angry:

FYI, the military can only use deadly force on its own citizens when they believe they or someone else is in immediate danger, just like a police officer can use deadly force when someone raises a gun at him/her or a fellow officer. They cannot shoot looters for looting, that's against the law and whoever authorized it would fine a nice new home in Leavenworth

Edit: Although I agree that people who shoot as rescuers deserve to take a bullet...

The key wording is deadly force. I know that shoot to maim orders against civilians have been give in the past although that was protecting government property.

while I'm looking at the glass half full and hoping my uncle won't see any danger, it just sickens me to think that people would fire upon the people coming to save them.

I hope Tommy (my uncle) pops a cap in there asses if needed.

its ridiculous. Im glad helps going on the way but its really sickening that these people have to do all this stuff during these kidna times.
