Bacon Explosion!

Good luck Gary ! I made 2 of these about week ago and shared with Bayamos, and Nashkicker. It was a big hit...I too made one of mine with cheddar cheese in the middle, as well as some freshly chopped Jalapeno peppers for a little heat. Enjoy!
 
I have to say, this was by far the best Bacon Explosion I've ever made. To all the basic ingredients I added some roasted pine nuts, fresh red onion, brandy soaked raisins, and slipped in the frozen spears of sharp cheddar cheese to each end about 10 minutes before we took it out.

The sweetness of the raisins played off the tartness of the porks, BBQ sauce, and cheddar perfectly...and the little crunch of the roasted pine nuts gave it a new tactile twist :thumbs:
