I'm going to swing by Slainte tonight to see what the RTDA crowd is like.. I don't know anyone, so I hope I'll fit in..

But my queston is, would it be bad manners to smoke an ISOM with folks around from the RTDA? I got this Siglo VI that I'd really like to burn up..

ok, someone give me some advice here.. i'm leavin in 15 minutes.. i'm bringing a 1964 exclusivo and a hemingway classic also and plan on trying to see what everyone else is smoking.

To be honest I'm not sure.....but if it were me....I'd smoke the exclusivo.

Edited to add: Why not smoke the Padron first, observe others, and if anyone else is smoking ISOMs then go ahead.

From what i read of the RTDA, so many people are smoking so many cigars, i don't believe anyone will notice. IMHO.

I just left it in my carrier.. I smoked my hemingway classic, the padron 1964, and was given an ashton vsg to smoke..

It was a lot of fun and I met a bunch of new people, including Tenpin.. Pretty neat.

But ISOM's have Weed in them, don't they?? So someone will surely notice from the smell!!!!

Sorry, just had to!!!
That's the barnyard smell they talk about so much.

Well, without even attempting to smoke mine, it did appear to be bad manners to smoke an isom.. No one else was, that I saw..

It's not bad manners, it's a friggin cigar, who cares what you're smoking. I doubt Carlos Fuente would feel bad if people who came up to his booth, were smoking Padrons.

I've gotta agree with this. Sometimes you've just gotta go in smoking what cha got.

Wilkey

I would probably go in there smoking a strawberry philly and start asking the vendors what makes their cigars so much better than the good old gas station classic. Might need a BS meter to chart the crap that comes out of the sales associate's mouths though.

Nobody gives a shit what you smoke at RTDA unless you are at a vendor dinner and then it's considered fairly rude not to smoke what they give you!
