For those of you who have not heard of this guy, he's a major scumbag. It is my understanding that there are pending criminal investigations into this guys activities on the Internet. He deals on various cigar boards, under a variety of screen names and aliases. He has been involved in Yahoo! auctions. Bottom line - this guy wants our money, promises the world - and does not deliver after being paid...

It is my understanding that he has recently reappeared on CigarWeekly as "CohibaCigars". It does not appear that he has made himself known on this board, although it is possible he may show up...

CW Bad Trader Alert

The easiest way to prevent yourself from being victimized by this guy is to check references on people you trade with in the Warren, Ohio and Columbia, Pennsylvania area. This is his primary base of operation.
 
This dog turd has been around for years now. I really don't have any faith that he will be "put away" anytime in the near future. :angry2: To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
 
Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'd have never thought of trading with someone I didn't know, with the exception of the newbie sampler trades. And then I would have been pretty impressed if an entire board full of people were out for a newbies $50 or $75 worth of cigars, calling it the NST!

It's nice that we've got such a community that looks out for one another, and hopefully our (yours in this case) diligence (who'll be the first to get me on that spelling) will help keep some newbs from initiating a trade with this gastric anomoly of a person.
 
Atleast they outed the bastard on Weekly instead of doing it behind the scenes. Good thing is, it happened before a lot of the new guys could get burnt. I hope he gets put under the jail. :angry:
 
Once again proves my reasoning to only being a member of THIS board. The fogs are always looking out for themselves and the rest of us on the board.

Ahhhhh NO there Shane. There's a Warren, Connecticut, 3rd smallest town in the state populationwise (~1300 people). The funny thing is I was in a wine & cigar pass on CW and the guy I had to send it TO lived in Warren, CT!!! :0

My ex-wife works at Hopkins Vineyard which is in Warren (the town is so small, their post office does not deliver mail so the mailing address is New Preston, CT :laugh: ). Warren, CT is a GREAT town :thumbs: It seems about half the people in town have the last name "Tanner" or are related to the Tanner family. The Hopkins Family has been there since 1787. The Hopkins and the Tanners are ALL Republicans and very nice people so don't you be smack talkin' Warren, CT now ;)
