Bales of cocaine, fallin' like the pourin' rain...

I've found weed stuffed in the back seat of my car before. I check my back seat at the begining of the shift. Then after someone gets out of my back seat, so I know who it belongs to. (sometimes they hide it in their junk, I'm not checking that at the road side.) There was an officer who found a pistol in his back seat one day.... He no longer works here. But stuff happens if you don't pay attention.
 
I practice in front of some pretty good judges who are not afraid to be witty while on the bench. One of them just about perfected his comedy routine about the popular 'raining crack' defense. That fits when someone runs from the police and the crack they had suddenly is on the ground and not on their person.

My job as a Public Safety Fleet Supervisor led me to a similar event. I was trying to trace a loose wire on a Police Cruiser (Crown Victoria) that ran under the rear seat. I popped the rear seat out to find a big bag of Marijuana underneath. :0

The Officer I turned it into asked me "How much was in the bag before you gave it to me." :laugh:

Too bad it didn't happen about twenty years ago.
