Thats all i have to say. Made the mistake of turning on Part 1 off HBO on-demand. 3.5 hours later and I finished Part3. Now I can't wait to get home to start part 4.

I have the DVD set of this... we watch it at work... one episode after another whenever we can! Get the DVD set- it's WELL worth it.

Best on a home theatre system with the sound CRANKED! My Uncle was a medic that went ashore on D-Day+3 and had stories you wouldn't believe... sadly he passed away before this series came out.

My Granddad was a radio op. for Patton. All he would ever say of his experience was how purdy Austria was. And how lucky he was to be alive. Seems a dud hit the ground about 10 feet from him.

That happened to me the last time it was repeated on the history channel about a month or two ago.

Also happened to me the day a few years ago when PBS ran the Ken Burns Civil War documentary. I couldn't walk away...

Very emotional peice...I love a good war movie, but that series is too good.

My grand-father was a helluva guy. He did a tour under "Bull" Halsey, had 2 ships blown out from under his feet, shot three different times. I think all that home cooking people ate years ago made them tougher than nails...

I'm not saying that our troops aren't tough now, (I'm a Vet) I just think we endured alot more during that period of time.

Ah...I think I'm gonna have to pop B.o.B. in....

This movie is insane. The part that followed the medic around was nuts...and part 7 about holding the front line...

My uncle was Pattons personal jeep driver, he was present when patton slapped the soldier in the medical tent. I still have his service 45 in the original us army holster(best shooting 45 I have ever shot) It is a remington rand 1911-A-1, a real treasure to me.

I love this mini-series. I watched it on HBO when it first came out and got the DVD set for Father's Day last year. Some of the best television I've ever watched! :thumbs:
