People need to be warned about people who are two months late. Just because you forgive him, it doesn't mean he should be taken off the list. Just because you don't agree with him being on the list, it doesn't make the list any less valid.

I find you a little brash Harris. You say just because I think he doesn't deserve to be on the list, that my opinion is null. But you want him there, so your opinion is validity. Harris, that list was started to protect people from theives,ripoffs, scammers and profitiers. Not guys that bump their freakin' noggin on a game thread and come to their senses. You've appointed yourself Judge and Jury and You have taking this "LIST" way to far to the left as far as I'm concerned. And I've been around the boards long enough to know what time it is.

Two months is two months no matter a contest, trade, box pass or whatever. Don't try and tell me that someone couldn't find 20 minutes to get to the post office in a 2 month period.

He was also 2 weeks late on a pass if I am not mistaken. This type of behavior needs to be exposed for what it is....... a complete lack of respect for fellow BOTLs. Real Botls go out of their way to complete their obligations in a timely manner, they don't make excuses and they don't make people wait 2 months.

When a BB asks us to put someone on the list we look at the persons behavior and then determine whether they belong on the list or not. There are others on that list that have also made people wait an exorbitant amount of time to complete their obligations. These people need to be outted so that newbies and others know what they are getting into if they have any contact with these types of bad traders.

I hope you are not excusing his behavior, because if you don't see anything wrong with it, then I would be wary of someone like yourself.

I like Frank (bighd100) and I wish there was an argument I could make to keep him off the list but there just isn't any excuse for what he did. I understand Surfer's basic reasoning here and I consider his defense of a friend the mark of a stand up guy. I simply don't agree. That doesn't make cohibasurfer anything but someone with a difference of opinion.

If you've read anything I've posted. It's quite obvious I am not excusing Frank in the least. What I was questioning is why your taking the hard line with corrected bungles all together. And since you did explain your methodology a little before you threw that bucket of sh!t comment at me. I see that it was Leebo and his board that asked you to do it. And it's your list... not the BOTLs' list. So F@ck it. Do what you want with it.

And Lumberg... ahh never mind... it would be a waste of time!
 
I've met Frank and smoked in his home, he is a great guy.

He was late and it has been corrected. "The List" should at least note that IMO.

I hope you see what kind of mixed message that I am receiving from you. I understand standing behind a friend, but since you agree his behavior is inexcusable, then how could we in good conscience take him off the list?


AVB, getting off the list would take a good year of being a true BOTL and good trader. Honestly though we haven't seen anyone go to the effort of making amends to get off the list.
 
I'd like to say one thing....put me on the list.....no problem....Just proves the validity of the list.

If someone jumps from one venue to another ripping people off then great, put them on a list.

My first priority in life is to take care of me and my family....yes I made a mistake and delayed sending cigars to a couple of BOTL's. Yes, it did take me a few months to take care of it....But, this board is not the center of my life when it comes to my family and my civic responsibilities. If I can't make my house payment, utility, CC payments or put food on my table, will you be there to do it? NOT really,

We are all here to get away from our own daily grind and find some enjoyment with what we all have in common. Sometimes we all run into bumps in the road...get knocked down but we do what we have to and keep on living. Friendships are built on these boards, and in some cases are lost. The way I feel about it. If a friendship is lost over a handfull of cigars then they were not a true friend to begin with.

Hell, We have politicians that lie and/or cheat, have sex with other women, do drugs and still get re-elected or stay in the public eye doing good things. I'm sure they are all on some sort of "LIST" somewhere. But they keep on going. (I hope this doesn't open another can of worms. I'm not saying all politicians are that way)

Bottom line is this, I've made friends here, I've hurt them by my actions even if they have not been directly involved. For that I'm truely sorry. I hope we can continue our friendship "LIST" or no "LIST".

mr master, if you don't mind please forward your name and addy to me so I can have you on my "LIST". It would be nice to know who hold the key to someones future. Especially someone I have never had any dealings with before.
