If you guys keep up with the cigar discussion threads then you know that I had a birthday this weekend and had some trouble decided what to smoke. Due to the generosity of a fellow Brandon BOTL :love: I decided to smoke a VSG Wizard and an Opus perfection X.
Nick, Razorback, and I fired up the Wizards after I got off work around 10pm. I was very excited because this was my first wizard and I had heard they were different than other VSGs and very likeable. Its also one of the fattest sticks I have ever well...maybe I should stop before the gay jokes start. :angry:
I wont bore you with another VSG review but this was a very enjoyable smoke. It lasted well over an hour and a half and the burn was magnificent! I couldnt believe how nice the draw was on such a fat smoke. Lots of good smoke and lots off good flavor. I will definately be smoking more of these!!
After the Wizard Nick and I looked at each other trying to decided whether we should fire up the Opus's or not. We knew what might follow...I didnt know if I could handle smoking the wizard and opus back to back, but I figured I was sure as hell going to find out!! :thumbs: So after admiring the opus for a minute we fired up the Opus's a little after midnight. The unique flavor of the opus hit me right from the first puff and I was off! The draw was the best I have had from the opus's since they were stored at lower humidity this time. I did have to relight once, which was no big deal for me and an opus. Towards the end I got a little buzz but felt great! I smoked this one to the nub and finished around 2am. This was by far one of the best nights of smoking I have ever had.
