Bourbon failures

Is Maker's Mark the best for the price point? I have to admit, that is the best bourbon I have tried.

I am a Macallan man though, still haven't found that special bourbon to compare with a good scotch.

My personal opinion: at the ~$25 price point, Evan Williams Single Barrell Vintage is the way to go. I also like the high-proof and the uplevel Wild Turkeys.

You should check out AVB's bourbon reviews for more ideas, as I'm not a huge bourbon fan (I tend to prefer scotch as well, unless I'm in the mood for bourbon), so I usually just get what's available to me locally, which ain't much.

No, there are many.....even some for less. Four Roses Single Barrel is at the top of that list, Van Winkles 12 yr.,Basil Hayden is a few bucks more, black Maple Hill, some of the Kentucky Bourbon Distillers Vintage lines are in this range, Corner Creek, and a few others.
