Breaking in my new ashtray

So for the last 15+ years Ive either used a cheap Walmart ashtray or a two stick stone/porcelain one I brought back from Mexico on vacation.

I was in Philly recently and I had planned to stop into the Holt store and was looking to bring something home. Looking through their website I seen the Perdomo ashtrays. Well the planets didnt align for a store visit but they had free shipping so I said what the hey and ordered. And because it was free shipping on the whole order I threw in a 5er of Perdomo's to go with it.

Man this thing is suwheat.

You sure cant beat this with a stick for $30 delivered. Its a fair size and the bottom is not hollow like some are.

Funny how an ashtray can add to the enjoyment of smoking a cigar.

That is gorgeous. I have a similar style RyJ from years ago, but the painting is wearing off. I have to keep an eye out for a new one. That is a stunner.

I bought a Great Value can of string beans and dumped out the beans and hit it with rattle can black paint. When Im done smoking I drop the nub in there and then clean the new one and put it back in the box it came in so hopefully it will maintain its splendor.

Stuff on my porch accumulates a layer of grime/crud from nature so fingers crossed.

I have s#itty old Stinky ashtrays, both missing a cigar land. Around here, turns out if it can't take a drop...it's going to have a short lifespan....

Metal or wood for me.

Ceramic or glass would not last long on my front porch with my clumsy a$$ around.
