As the title states, looking for a good/decent, not too expensive burr grinder. It doesn't have to be a conical grinder, just a decent one that you're using.

Anyone have a recommendation? I've been using the pour over method, for close to 2 years and the grinder I have, is ok, but there isn't much difference between fine/coarse grind.

I have a Hario skerton, it is a decent grinder that was inexpensive and came fairly highly recomended. It perfomrs well however it is the only one I have ever used so I am not sure if there are much better out there.

I have both the Hario Skerton and the Jura Capresso 560.04

Love both, but after modifying the Capresso to grind more coarsely, it is my go to since it is electric.

I have been doing pour overs for about 3 years now. Last year I stepped up to the Baratza Conical Virtuoso Burr Grinder. I could taste the difference from my old Capresso right from the first cup... They say "higher grade precision steel conical burrs, which create fewer “fines” (tiny bean particles that extract too fast and result in bitter coffee)" I do know that my course grind is much better than before, and gets me that "under 4 minute" water to coffee grinds contact... A bit more expensive than my Capresso but worth it in my opinion.

Is that 4 minutes for a certain amount of cups? I do between 6 - 8 cups and I'm guessing it takes me 10 minutes? But that's pouring multiple times, water over the same coffee. Maybe I'm doing this whole thing wrong, LOL.

Yes, I do 2 cups at a time, and it takes several pours, if the coffee grounds are not course enough, it will take longer than 4 minutes.
