Is there a good place to buy Cigars online. I have purchased many items online and have saved money and time ( I live about 50 miles from the nearest town). I enjoy picking out my cigars at the shop and "Chewing the fat" with those who enjoy a good smoke, however if I want to buy a particular cigar I like and can save time/gas$/money by buying it online that would be great.

And searching is your friend.... LOADS of info if you take a few moments to SEARCH for them. Ok, so much it'll take more than a few moments!

i would add my props on the search feature. very helpful and it also widens your cigar appreciation horizon :) be careful, it's easy to go overboard ;)

There are some real good places to buy online. Always try and buy from out of state vendors so you avoid paying tax. Also, all depends on the type of cigars you're looking for. Some vendors get better deals than others. My first online purchase (long time ago) was with JR Cigars. Like the others already said, just look around the site, there's a lot of information available.

All the best,
Rod

Adam1,
Vendors are a personal preference sort of thing, IMO, search till you find one that provides you with the value and service you expect. In my experience, some vendors do much better with price and stockage of with certain lines of cigars, and some vendors are better with a completely different line of cigars. It is difficult to find an outstanding single vendor for every cigar.

All that being said here is a few vendors I've bought from with good success (YMMV):Here is a quick dump of my Cigar Vendor Bookmarks. I've made purchases from some of them & some I've not...YMMV. This is not an endorsement of these vendors, and I am not affiliated with any Cigar Vendor. There are more vendors out there, these are just some I've found over the last 6 months. Should get you started.

I can't believe no one mentioned the Newbie Sampler Trade! If you have any doubts about your preferences, you should do that. You will not get screwed, that's a promise, in fact you'll end up better off than anywhere else you go.

I second this. The newbie sampler thread is a great way to sample a wide variety of quality smokes. A newbler like myself doesn't know what he'll like beyond cubans so I went into the sampler thread and got a great package of assorted smokes from a well respected FOG.

Now if I ever get around to actually SMOKING any of those bad boys... :)

Good call, Gonz!! I will "third" this suggestion.... an awesome way to get a great selection of smokes!!

I would just let you know to be very careful about who you purchase from. Unfortunately my first experience with buying from a vendor in the 'Hot Deals' section was an absolute nightmare. MY EXPERIENCE DOES NOT MEAN YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL BE THE SAME. But I would reccommend PMing a couple FOGs (friggin' old guys) if you decide you want some more detailed information some FOGs are happy to help.

On the other hand, I have had GREAT experience with vendors who are actual sponsors on this site (as Rod mentioned).

Lot's of great information in this thread...thanks to all who posted.
