I've been hearing a lot about Cabaiguans lately. Never tried one and can't find them at any of the local B&M's. Can someone suggest an online source and provide a little background on these?

There was a guy here, Fyodor I think, who was a big fan of all things Jose "Pepin" Garcia. You might want to search for posts under his handle.

I believe 2 Guys stocks these.

They are as good as most of the Tatuajes (IMHO), however, they seem to be lighter blend. In my experience they seem to be ready to smoke faster that the Tat's as well. I always have to dry my Tat's a bit before smoking them. So far I have purchased all of my Pepin/Tatuaje products here. They are great people and have decent prices.

Thanks for the clarification, I never realized that they were Tatuajes. I absolutely love the Havana VI's, bought a box of P4's and would have to say I'm disapointed. I'll have to give the cabby's a shot.
Thanks

Cabaiguan are good...had one for the first time the other day and loved it...like the Tats better though. Havne't tried the red label yet...although I was just gifted one (thanks oknewb)...may just smoke it tonight!!!

I've heard good things about these smokes, but everytime I have the opportunity to pick one up, I seem to always pass on them. It's probably because what I hear is that they are more mild than the other tats that I have come to really enjoy.

Wasy, although where I live and the only B&M that I have access to, couldn't probably even spell Don Pepin nor have they ever heard of Cabaiguan cigars, I will be down in Tampa again in a couple of weeks and will have full access to these smokes. Therefore, if you're looking for just a few, rather than a box, I would be more than happy to pick you up some. Just give me a shout if none of the other connections, suggested above, work out for you.

Mark at Tower Pipes & Cigars is a great guy and you should have no problem ordering from him. He has a complete line of Tatuaje and Cabaiguans. He even has a great looking sampler in stock for the holidays.

I had one yesterday and is in my regular rotation. Don't expect them to be close to a Tatuaje's strength. They are milder but great aroma :D /.

They are the 1st box I've ever bought. They are lighter then Tat's, but go GREAT with good whiskey/bourbon.

Thanks Jason. I've wanted to try a few of these Cabaiguans. Nice prices as well. :)

A while back I tried a few of the Belicosos and loved them. I ended up buying a box that are Corona size and they are awful. They have a very strong cedar taste and aroma. I can handle a little cedar flavor but these are just too hectic. But they are sitting in my humidor for the long haul and we shall see what they are like after they have some time on them. I will buy some Belicosos next time I see them.
