How much were the Opi?

The A's are $100 -- $30 a stick or so for other sizes... about 3x MSRP + taxes for all of the vitolas... which oddly enough makes them the cheapest Opus on the Strip. Cigar prices are out of control on the Vegas Strip.

After talking at length with some BOTLs back east..here in Vegas we generally get ripped off for prices, even off the strip.

I guess that is the price you pay for 2.99 steak and eggs

Remember how much the Opus XXX was Alex? What a rip 35 bucks for a 10 dollar smoke. Asked why they were so outragous on priceing and the guy said, its cause we always have them in stock. No wonder why at that price.

Yep, they are definitely high - especially on the Anejos and OpusX. It is cool to see all those rare sticks in stock though. Like gtphale said, it's no wonder at those prices. I just couldn't resist the 8-5-8 Sungrowns though. Oh, and a couple of Hemi Classic Sungrowns. Didn't believe the lady when she said they were sungrown but saw the sticker on the side of the box. All in all, worth the trip if you are in Vegas, if for nothing more than to check it out. It is a really beautiful store.

Believe it or not, those prices make Casa Fuente by far the cheapest Opus dealer on the Vegas Strip... they are $60+ a stick at other Strip smoke shops. Sad, but true.

What's the cost on those?

I paid 22 bucks for a bellicoso and 40 bucks for a Double Corona for Opus X at the Casa Fuente Shop. They had Perfection A's in the coffin for 75 bucks. Considering I couldnt find an Opus X for less than 60 anywhere else I thought it wasnt too bad of pricing.

$19/stick, $500/box. 8-5-8 sungrowns were $11/stick, $264/box.

Wanted to resurrect this topic. I have a co-worker heading out to Vegas this weekend for a bachelor party. As several of the guys are cigar lovers, I told them they should at least check out this place since, by all accounts, people seem to say it is worth stopping by.

How are prices here? From what I read, they are cheaper than other places on the strip, but overall, what are everyone's thoughts? Are there anything there that I should ask him to pick up for me?

A must visit while in Vegas - yes prices are a little high, but when you are in Vegas it doesn't seem to matter all that much. Great looking girls serving the drinks also. Oh yea, one more thing, selection is great.

A definite must visit. For the drinks..LOL!!
CIgars are way overpriced. But they do have some rarities on hand and a good stock of other premiums. Be sure to have them try the mojitos and the Don Carlos caipiranha.

I will actually be there next week sipping on some mojitos and smoking some Anejo's. While the woman shops! Life is grand!

You said the same thing about the BBQ Herf..... :whistling:

Yeah i know..But this time i actually have plane tickets and rooms booked.. :D

I'm in the minority with my opinion on this (well, maybe not here, but I certainly was at CF) but the pricing is ridiculous. It may be justified because of the rent they pay but it is ridiculous just the same. Just because it's OK relative to the rest of Vegas doesn;t mean it isn't still ludicrous to pay 35 bucks for a 10 dollar cigar.

My motto on business trips was always..."when going to Vegas...pack your own cigars".

And to further piss off the Fuente lovers :) the Casa Fuente smokes were nothing special IMO. Gimmie those Hemingways anytime.

They do, however, make an awesome mojito.
