I've had a lot of trouble with packages as of late. My SS never showed up(not my SS's fault), a package from a BOTL who helped me out, and two packages that I sent out were never recieved. I was mad as hell at USPS who refused to apologize for the troubles. So Saturday morning I was sitting in the kitchen playing with my son and his new chemistry set when the doorbell rings. I go to the door and who is it but the local police. Now, my first thought was what the hell did I do? I've spent some time with these guys before but that was long ago. I opened the door, invited them in, and asked how I might help them. To my suprise they presented me with four boxes, torn open, but with the contents intact. My boxes! I asked them why they had them. I turns out a local junky had been stealing things off of porches and out of unlocked cars to pay for his heroin. They busted him and his roomate and upon searching the house found a bunch of stolen property. They tracked me down using the addys on the boxes. So, Secret Santa I can now say YOU ROCK! Not only did you do some digging through this site, but you sent me the one cigar I have never been able to track down! David, the LE05's showed up...and a great many thanks for the tag alongs. Plus your box is on it's way this morning. I sincerly apologize for the delay with your payment. In fact, I can't believe they didn't find or cash the check!
Anyhow, I have learned that miracles do happen and that I need to find a new hiding spot for my boxes. Just thought I would share this with everyone because it made my day.
